What a fine weekend for football!

Order up some corn dogs, take back the foul things we said about LSU earlier in the season, laissez le bon temps roulle!
And no matter what happens after 2OT, WDE!

I've never felt so good about a loss. There were 3 or 4 stupid mistakes that cost us the game and I'm not even pissed about the incredible luck state had with their last kickoff.
I'm not sure how intentional it was, but he kicked a hard line drive into an Auburn guy's chest, it bounced off of him and back to the state guys.
Whatever else may be, but this team proved it can win - to me anyway.
Wish I could have watched bammer go down. Seeing little nicki stomp and throw things is always fun.

You don't get ESPN, or do you just mean that you stayed focused on the Auburn game? Funny that both went to OT.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 12:21 am... Wish I could have watched bammer go down. Seeing little nicki stomp and throw things is always fun.

Sweet 50-36. I'm 12-11 for the week.

1. Tennessee 8-1 LOST
2. Ohio State 9-0 was played tighter than they should have been. Yay GoCubsGo.
4. Clemson 8-1 LOST. Ironically, this will make it less significant when UNC beats it in the ACC Championship.

6. Alabama 7-2 LOST
3 of the top 6 losing is a BIG deal. I'm not even going to try and predict what AP and later the PSC will do besides moving 5. Michigan into a playoff slot.
7. TCU 9-0 was played close by unranked TT.
8. Oregon 8-1 WON
9. USC 8-1 barely BEAT unranked Cal.
10. LSU 7-2 BEAT #6.
11. Ole Miss 8-1 barely BEAT unranked TAMU.
12. UCLA 8-1 BEAT AZ St
13. Kansas State LOST
16. Illinois 7-2 LOST to unranked Mich St
17. North Carolina 8-1 barely BEAT unranked UVA
The door might be cracked open for the Pac-12 team that comes out on top. GO Ducks > UCLA >> USC >>> Utah.

After a year of being mishandled, misdirected and finally run off the team by the idiot of Boise, Bo left his dream school and took his last (?) year of eligibility to be a Heisman contender thousands of miles from home.

5. Bo Nix, QB, Oregon: The bad news is Nix threw two picks against Cal. The good news is he shredded the Golden Bears for 412 yards through the air, 59 on the ground and six total touchdowns. Nix should have another gaudy line against Colorado's awful defense this weekend.

16 Tulane 8-1 up3
17 NC State 7-2 up4

24 Washington 7-2, was unranked

0 votes: Auburn, MD, Miami, NW, SDSU
In the FCS #13 Montana won huge, but every team ahead of it also won except for #11 Mercer which had a bye, and #6 Weber State losing to #3 Sacramento State. Weber State may drop, but will probably remain ahead of Montana.

Blazers are the new distuptor boys. Gutless bammer are still pissed at the U. of ALABAMA @ Birmingham and, last heard, were refusing all attempts to play them, just like they refused to play Auburn in their once claimed super home of B'ham.

Re: College football
No wonder.
SMU and Houston combine for most regulation points in FBS history in 77-63 battle
... SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai finished 28-for-37 for 379 passing yards and nine — yes, nine — passing touchdowns, plus 54 rushing yards and another touchdown on the ground....
Houston quarterback Clayton Tune was arguably even more prolific, going 36-for-53 for 527 passing yards and seven touchdowns, but his three interceptions represented the majority of SMU's stops during the game.
Tune also had 111 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 attempts, while SMU running back Tyler LaVine had 146 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Houston averaged 10.0 yards per play for the game, while SMU had only 7.8 yards per play, with the two teams combining 1,357 yards on the night. And one punt.
26-10.

Huh, not just possible, but "likely."Bowl projections: Can the Pac-12 get a team into the College Football Playoff?
Can someone run the table in the Pac-12 over the final four weeks of the season?
The conference has three teams with a chance to make the College Football Playoff. Oregon, USC and UCLA are all at 8-1 through the first 10 weeks of the season and in the top 12 in the CFP rankings. If either of those three teams can win its final three regular season games and the Pac-12 title game then a playoff spot is likely.

So refugee from Auburn Bo Mix is not just a Heisman contender, but also has a real shot at the playoffs. Funny how that worked out... The Pac-12’s best playoff scenario at the moment is to have Oregon and either USC or UCLA win out so two 11-1 teams meet in the title game. That would ensure a 12-1 team at the end of the season and a legitimate shot at the playoff.
We’re going with Oregon to be that team in our latest edition of bowl projections. The Ducks have some work to do; three of their final four games would be against ranked opponents and Oregon State is just outside the top 25. But we think Oregon is playing well enough to make it happen at the moment....

Who would get bumped?
GA (1) might be undefeated.

TCU (4) might be undefeated.

That leaves Ohio St. (2) and Michigan (3), who play each other 11/26 in the regular season finale.
We'll see, fingers crossed.
