Republicans who recruited Walker, a former University of Georgia football star, to run for office did so based on racial stereotypes rather than his qualifications, he told his parishioners at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Stonecrest, Georgia, just outside Atlanta.
“They figured that they would delude us by picking somebody who they thought would in fact represent us better with a football than with a degree in philosophy,” he told the mostly Black congregation in a sermon that has generated millions of views online.

Starting in 2017, Walker has made the claim that he had graduated from University of Georgia "in the top 1% of his class". In fact, he did not graduate, and left college to join the NFL. He did not return to complete his degree. In December 2021, Walker's Senate campaign website deleted the assertions about his education after The Atlanta Journal-Constitution inquired about it, with Walker acknowledging in a statement that he left the university without graduating to play professional football. Walker later asserted he never said he graduated from the university.

And to think, these people, who a mere 55 years ago were so full of hate for black people that they installed a governor who came in 2nd and whose best claims to fame were his refusing to serve black people at his restaurant, his bucket of ax handles by the door and his influence over the small boy filmed dragging a 3-ft. ax handle and squealing: "I'm gonna kill me a nigger!", have come so far in their acceptance of racial diversity that they are attempting to elect a caricature of the way they saw black people in the 60s - just ignorant servants.

My reasoning for not giving a shit - a car is a means to move me places. How it accomplishes that, I do not care so long as it does so cheaply. This is why I still drive a vehicle with 240k miles on it. It moves me to places that aren't where I am currently at.

I sadly think you guys are overly optimistic. In a two-person race, even 45% would mean Warlock got 55%, a 10 point whooping. I'm picking 48-52 at best and hope I'm wrong and you guys are right and definitely hope it's not worse. I do think the fact that the race no longer will determine Senate control takes more air out of the Repugs than the Dems balloons, but maybe not. Dems could think "oh well, we won the Senate so yawn"
