Love raptors, and the people who care for them. We're thinking of giving each other a raptor experience. I'd think the experience of actually handling the birds, having them fly from you and return would be worth the fairly steep price.

The boat leaves from Dana Point (about a half hour away) at 9:30, arrives about 11:00 and then there's a return at 5:00. There are only 4 hotels, ranging in price from a non-surprising $200+ up to a more-surprising $900+. And a lot of the activities involves off-road dusty rides. But it can be a day trip - we'd just have to coordinate pretty well before we got there. Might work out, might not, but it sounds like a lot of fun.

... PACK 'EM IN: At the end of the regular season, Montana finished second in the FCS in attendance averaging 25,298 fans per game, over 100-percent capacity of Washington-Grizzly Stadium for the year....
Montana posted its fourth-straight sold out home game of the year two weeks ago against EWU, with 25,403 fans packing the place. It's the first string of four-straight sellouts for UM since 2015 when the Griz started the season with a bang, beating a Carson Wentz-lead NDSU squad in front of 26,472 fans.
Jackson State, coached by Deion Sanders, leads the FCS in attendance, with its stadium holding 40,000 and a visit from College GameDay to boost interest....

Re: College football
So common chatter is that Auburn is down to either Kiffin or Freeze, one of whom has a record of ending relationships badly, and has as recently as this week again sworn loyalty to "ol Miss, and the other is a convicted cheater at 'ol Miss and got caught using university phones for "escort" adventures all the while loudly proclaiming his "born again-iness" Not that I know, but it seems a program that wants to return to elite status might find better choices.
Seems you'd want somebody who has a record of producing and keeping winning programs over time, and in varied circumstances, and not necessarily somebody who produced a one-year murkle under a perfect blend of circumstance and fortune. Neon Dieon, for example, is a hot commodity. No doubt he's got talent and coaching ability, and he's done great at Jackson State. But with whatever level of respect is "due", Jackson State ain't Auburn or even Nebraska. And a couple of seasons isn't yet a dynasty. Freeze and Kiffin are carrying a bunch of baggage and, overall, not the most wonderful records.
But then, when they handed out coaching selection genes, the Auburn brass apparently thought they said "jeans" and said "we'll pass - jeans aren't our style."

Sounds like Kiffin is closing the door, unless it's a negotiating strategy. Ironic that liberty hired ethically-challenged Freeze. He's like Deion, 1 very good season at Liberty and a few pretty good ones. Before that he kinda sucked at Ole Miss, just 1 very good season. My own bias is to automatically cancel anyone from the God Squad. I'm with billy.pilgrim, give Cadillac a full year and see who else might be available if he doesn't work out . . . or Deion is the best alternative.
... If Freeze is hired at Auburn, the Tigers will have two prominent coaches with significant histories of NCAA violations. Current Auburn coach Bruce Pearl was fired at Tennessee in 2011 because of NCAA violations and was subsequently given a three-year show-cause penalty by the NCAA. He was hired at Auburn with months remaining in that penalty.
Edit: Freeze may have become available at a bargain price.
N. Mex. St. (4-6) 49 @Liberty (8-3) 7, 1:47 4th Goddamn!
I didn't even make a pick since Liberty was favored by 24.5 .
Also: 14.5 point underdog unranked SC leading #8 Clemson 31-30 with 10:14 4th.

GO:

Holy crap. Clemson spends all of its timeouts on a late SC drive. SC punts, Clemson returns to its own 40 and . . . FUMBLE! SC gets the ball with 2:09 left, gets a 1st down, runs out the clock, 31-30!!! SC is this year's giant killer.
@Maryland 6-5 (-14 ) > Rutgers 4-7, TV: BTN , GO Terps!
Stomping, 37-0!!!

Crap. GO Iowa (preferred) or Purdue > Michigan in the Big Ten Championship game, as if.

Nope, got stomped.
Also:
(7-5) East Carolina (-9.5) 49 @(3-9) Temple 46
Exciting shootout in a fairly meaningless game. I didn't have a favorite.
(5-7) West Virginia 24 @(7-5) Oklahoma State (-5.5) 19
I didn't have a favorite. The state of OK has not been OK this year. Fine with me.

Duke drive and 20 yard TD toss for a 3-point lead with 2:04 left. Both QB has stellar days. Stats Duke INT on WF's next drive, 34-31 .
@Indiana 4-7 > Purdue 7-4 (-10.5), TV: BTN GO Iowa!
Nope, 16-30. Purdue edges out Iowa, gets to lose to Mich in the Big Ten Championship.

Ouch, got stomped, poor GoCubsGo.

Awww, very sloppy, 34-38.
If (13) Washington 9-2 (-2) > @Washington State 7-4, it plays in the Pac-12 Championship vs USC, okay, otherwise #14 Utah does, ick.
Edit: Maybe not, Yahoo is showing Oregon still ahead of Utah despite the Utah win. I'm okay with the Ducks or Huskies.
Edit 2: I think I've got it sorted out now. If WA wins Utah goes to the Pac-12 Championship vs USC, if WA loses OR goes. Hmm, mixed feelings.
