Thanks to the acc ref who stopped play before Cal could run the fumble into the end zone.

They made a FG out of it, so ref saved us 4 points.

I bet the 2010 Iron Bowl hurts more. At least it does if you consider the number of people murdered for failing to hate Auburn enough.

Ahead 24 to zip late in the 2nd quarter, still up 24 to 7 at the half when an Auburn coach observed that Kirby was stealing our signs and we altered our sign system during halftime.
The win was only by 1 point, but it was humiliating for sabin and kirby.

And as the game ended, the sun was setting in an orange and blue sky and Auburn fans were singing the reverse rammer jammer.

Dimbo Fisher complains that Miami was cheating:
"After the game, Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher accused Miami players of some less-than-honest tactics prior to his team's missed two-point conversion attempt late in the third quarter.

"There was a snap early," Fisher said, via On3. "They clapped. They simulated our snap count and our guys heard the clap, and they snapped the ball. We had a whole play, like a goal-line play. What happened was the ball got snapped early because they simulated the snap count and clapped their hands and our center snapped the ball."
Translation: Our clueless center fell for the football equivalent of "swing batta, swing batta, swing batta, swing!

If they had only lost by the margin of the missed 2-pointer, he might have a justifiable whine, but shouldn't' it have been "the refs missed a call" rather than "Miami cheated (or were "dishonest"?) You suppose he considers interference or holding or offsides to be "cheating"?

Apparently there has been a mid season rule change or there is an Auburn exception.

We won the game but didn't beat the spread. Remember, we were picked to lose, but favored to win - somehow.

We won
We didn't beat the spread
But we are now below those Also receiving votes.

Texas leaps to No. 4 in AP Top 25 college football poll

... Texas received two first-place votes after its biggest regular-season victory in years. The Longhorns are in the top five for the first time since starting the 2010 season at No. 5 and have their highest ranking since finishing No. 2 after losing the BCS Championship Game to Alabama in 2009....

The loss dropped Alabama seven spots to No. 10, its lowest ranking since early last November, when the Crimson Tide also were 10th.
Nice
USC moved up a spot to No. 5, giving each Power 5 conference top-five representation for the first time since Sept. 24, 2017.
Surprising.
No conference has more teams in the Top 25 than the Pac-12, which is in its last season with its current membership before 10 schools depart for other leagues in 2024.

Only the SEC had ever placed as many eight teams in a single Top 25, doing it 21 times with a record 10 in September 2015.

In this week's poll, Washington is No. 8, Utah is 12th, Oregon is 13th, Oregon State is No. 16, and Colorado has risen to 18th. Moving into the rankings are Washington State at No. 23 and UCLA at No. 24.

The Pac-12's previous high was six ranked teams, achieved multiple times, including last week.
It's a Pac-12 funeral party. Playoffs or even the Championship will be ironic.
... No. 22 Miami is ranked for the first time since last September, when it fell out of the AP Top 25 after losing at Texas A&M. The Hurricanes beat the Aggies on Saturday to move back in and knock out A&M.
Go O Really Go
... Clemson also slipped out of the rankings, ending a streak of 21 appearances. The Tigers barely held on to a spot in the poll at No. 25 last week following an opening loss to Duke. Their rout of Charleston Southern on Saturday wasn't enough to keep them ranked.
Yippie!!!
With Tulane dropping out, there are no ranked teams from conferences outside the Power 5. The last time that happened was a little less than a year ago, though three Group of 5 conference teams ended up finishing the season ranked.
:(
Behind the Pac-12's eight ranked teams is the SEC (five), ACC (four), Big Ten (four) and Big 12 (three).

Could be, there are several major differences:
AP - TAMU listed as getting votes without the number posted
Washington State - AP #23, Coaches (26)
Auburn - AP 0 votes, Coaches 23 votes
Maryland - AP 1 vote, Coaches 14 votes
Wake Forest - AP 0 votes, Coaches 13 votes
UCF - AP 0 votes, Coaches 11 votes
There are other contradictions. Those are just teams I'm interested in.

AP Top 25
Auburn is 29 in Coaches Poll.
Could ap be a mistake?
Could be, there are several major differences:
AP - TAMU listed as getting votes without the number posted
Washington State - AP #23, Coaches (26)
Auburn - AP 0 votes, Coaches 23 votes
Maryland - AP 1 vote, Coaches 14 votes
Wake Forest - AP 0 votes, Coaches 13 votes
UCF - AP 0 votes, Coaches 11 votes
There are other contradictions. Those are just teams I'm interested in.
Also - Auburn is usually lower in the Coaches Poll makes me think something is wrong with the ap.
