Sources: Michigan staffer bought tickets for non-Big Ten games
... ESPN also learned that Stalions, who is at the center of an NCAA investigation into Michigan's alleged sign-stealing operation, bought tickets to a 12th Big Ten school, as sources at 12 of the 13 possible Big Ten schools have a record of Stalions buying a ticket there. ESPN reported on Monday there were 11 schools.
... So far, ESPN has confirmed that Stalions has purchased tickets to more than 35 games at 17 stadiums around the country. He has used a network of at least three people, who were forwarded the tickets to attend games.
... A source told ESPN that the Big Ten would want to have "as full of a picture of what the facts actually are if we were to act" before the NCAA completes its investigation, which likely would not occur until sometime in 2024.
Might be wishful thinking but I don't think that misogynist RW xtian Harbaugh survives this, even if it can't be "proved" that he knew.In a statement last week, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh denied "illegally stealing signs" and said he had never "directed any staff member or others to participate in an off-campus scouting assignment."
NCAA enforcement timelines are notoriously slow. Michigan is still under investigation for recruiting violations tied to allegations that emerged during the COVID-19 mandated recruiting dead period. (Harbaugh served a school-imposed three-game suspension for those violations earlier this year, but the case remains unfinished.) ...
Recording the sideline signs of future opponents. Way stupid that he got caught, all he needed to do is get a stand-in to buy the tix and use flunkies to do the recording.
Scouting is probably the wrong word.

The placards and hand sign used by the bench to those on the field are off-limits to research by the opposing team. These sign are varied enough that it would take following a team through multiple games to learn their sign.

Coaching staff is banned from attending opponent games.
Recording the sideline by anyone for team use is banned.
Clearly, these rules don't apply when you have RW xtian leadership. They get a free pass from god, they always do.

Harbaugh's RW god will forgive.FBI joins probe into ex-Michigan assistant football coach
The FBI has joined the University of Michigan police department's investigation of former Wolverines assistant football coach Matt Weiss, who was fired in January following a report of unauthorized computer access crimes at the school's football building.
Deputy chief Melissa Overton confirmed the FBI's involvement to ESPN on Thursday, adding that the investigation is "extensive, ongoing and is of the utmost priority," and covers multiple states....
A University of Michigan police department spokesperson told ESPN's Dan Murphy that the Weiss investigation is unrelated to the NCAA's probe of off-campus scouting and signal stealing involving the program and staff member Connor Stalions, who was around the program in 2021 before officially joining the staff in 2022.
Why would a recruiter do that? Suuure, misogynist RW xtian Harbaugh was obliviousEx-D-III coach says U-M staffer hired him to record future Big 10 foes
... According to a LinkedIn page he has recently deleted, Stalions is a former officer in the Marine Corps who was hired as a member of the program's recruiting staff in 2022 and worked with the team as a volunteer for several years before then. Photos from recent Michigan games show he frequently stood next to the team's play callers on the sideline during games....
"with pay"?Michigan suspended Stalions with pay last Friday, and sources told ESPN that the NCAA is seeking his computer as part of their investigation.
Where was moderately paid Stalions getting the money and how could Harbaugh not know?... He said for the three games he taped he received roughly $1,000 to cover his travel expenses and pay for his time. He said Stalions paid him from a personal Venmo account.
Current sleaze... He said that before the news of the investigation was made public Stalions also provided him a ticket to this coming Saturday's game between Indiana and Penn State. He does not plan to attend.
Opps.... One woman based in Jacksonville said she was friends with Stalions from their time together in the military but hung up abruptly when asked about attending last year's Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville....
