... Trump on Wednesday attacked Dawn Engoron, the wife of the judge, Arthur Engoron, and the judge’s clerk, on his social media platform Truth Social.
He called Dawn Engoron a “Trump hating wife” and said that she and Arthur Engoron’s law clerk had “taken over control of the New York State Witch Hunt Trial aimed at me, my family, and the Republican Party”.
On Thursday, the gag order against him, which had been paused two weeks ago, was reinstated, but it did not stop Trump lashing out further. The order only specifies comments about members of Judge Engoron’s staff, not his family.
Trump posted screenshots of vulgar and profane anti-Trump messages on X, formerly known as Twitter, purported to have been made by Dawn Engoron – prompting her swiftly to assert that she does not have an account.
“I do not have a Twitter account. This is not me. I have not posted any anti-Trump messages,” Dawn Engoron told Newsweek.
OPPS!
One meme shows Trump digitally altered into wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and mopping floors. The caption read: “He’ll never be in the WHITE HOUSE again. He’s headed for the BIG HOUSE.”
True, whoever posted it.
Trump then added captions to his posts, such as one that read: “This is the Judge’s Wife and Family that are putting these things out. I am not entitled to a Jury under this Statute. Can this be happening in America?”
Not "the Judge’s Wife", moron, and you were "entitled to a Jury" but your idiot lawyers (intentionally?) didn't ask for one.
... Trump in October accused Engoron’s top clerk of political bias in a post on his Truth Social platform. The post left the court “inundated with hundreds of harassing and threatening phone calls, voicemails, emails, letters, and packages” from Trump supporters, Engoron said in a court filing, leading to a limited gag order.
MAGAts are cowardly terrorists and Russians.
... Engoron has already fined Trump $15,000 for twice violating the order and warned that future breaches would be met with steeper penalties, including imprisonment.
Does he think that his incessant victimology advances his cause? Bleed him dry, lock him up!
... A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit found that Trump was acting "in his personal capacity as a presidential candidate" when he urged his supporters to march to the Capitol on the day of the riot. U.S. presidents are immune from civil lawsuits only for official actions.
The ruling clears the way for Trump to face lawsuits from U.S. Capitol police officers and Democratic lawmakers seeking to hold Trump responsible for the violence by his supporters during the riot, which was an attempt to overturn his 2020 election defeat....
The unanimous decision focused only on whether Trump could be sued, and said nothing about the merits of the cases themselves.
"unanimous"!
Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan, Appointed by Obama
Circuit Judge Gregory G. Katsas, Appointed by Trump!!!
Senior Circuit Judge Judith W. Rogers, Appointed by Clinton
... In their lawsuit, Capitol Police officers James Blassingame and Sidney Hemby accused Trump of being responsible for physical and emotional injuries they suffered as a result of the Capitol attack.....
Two lawsuits were filed by House Democrats, one by 10 lawmakers including Representatives Jerry Nadler and Maxine Waters and the other by Representative Eric Swalwell.
Picky picky. I've changed one option to "Death/debilitation". Next?
I'm covered, except for maybe running out the clock in hopes of being re elected. It's his only real chance to evade conviction and everything he does reflects that.
House arrest
Imprisoned
Death/debilitation
Running out the clock in hopes of being re elected.
Flee the country
Acquitted, or hung jury

I clearly didn't think this through. Does reelection alone stop criminal prosecution that's already in progress? I guess it would stymie DoJ action but maybe not Georgia's Fani. So, "Running out the clock in hopes of being re elected" may or may not fully negate other options. So, I'll offer what may be a friendly amendment in a brand new start to the poll:
Poll, which will happen first? Rank all 4:
Imprisoned
Acquitted, or hung jury
Death/debilitation
Flee the country, “vacation” to another country
House arrest
Reelected, prosecution ends and/or pardons self
Me:
Spoiler:
1. Flee the country, “vacation” to another country (same as billy.pilgrim )
2. Death/debilitation
3. Imprisoned
4. House arrest
5. Acquitted, or hung jury
6. Reelected, prosecution ends and/or pardons self

Afaik the constitution doesn't speak at all to indicting or trying a president, the "guidelines" come from DOJ precedents probably dating back to Nixon.
If cheetohead does win he effectively owns DOJ so it'll be up to Georgia which in theory can still try him even as president.
That'll be quite a legal clusterfuck that will go straight to the Supremes, it'll have to because the time between the election is only ten weeks.

The entire thing with trump and his trials and his lawyers reminds me of an old skit from "In Living Color" when one of the Wayans brothers acted like a homeless guy who was in court. He's wearing an old shabby trench coat and stands to address the judge, saying "your honor, I want to act as my own executioner in this case" and a few minutes later he pulls a large pickle jar from underneath the coat (half full of some liquid and what appears to be a pickle disguised as a large turd), then announces that he's "brought my own facilities." I find both scenes equally humorous.
