I'm not saying malicious, I'm just confused. Grabbing an opponent is not something that is done, ever. Johni Broome was correct to respond with a slap and he had nothing to apologize for.

You may be correct with the "typical celebrity" exemption to propriety. Sports Illustrated sorta agrees with me:

... Broome reacted as any basketball player would, swatting the fan away.

It would normally have been the right thing to do ... if that fan had been anyone other than Mississippi-raised film legend Morgan Freeman....

I never said that Johni wasn’t right. Of course he made the correct response. I don’t know that he apologized, or if he just took the time to speak to the great actor/fan. Fans aren’t necessarily responsible for understanding the rules as players and coaches do.
What the Bama coach did a couple of weeks ago while being watched by two officials was hundreds or thousands of times worse and it was the player/victim who was told to sit down and shut up.

Freeman was just a fan who made a mistake.

I agree that one or two spots is meaningless - that’s why I said, “no complaints”
It’s simply another example of alabama getting another assist on their name.
Not nearly as big as their inclusion in the football playoffs - that was a real complaint, by many.
