It's a joke, of course, but is it by somebody who really really loves Olive Garden or really doesn't like real Italian food?

Speaking of undercooked:
Florida man complains of migraines — docs find tapeworm in his brain from eating undercooked bacon

That makes me feel a little better, but:... Experts said the individual’s “lifelong preference for soft bacon” wasn’t the sole cause of the specific, bizarre ailment — but rather that the breakfast favorite had gone bad, with undercooking leaving the man exceptionally vulnerable.
The perfect storm situation led to a case of neurocysticercosis — the scientific term for a parasite laying eggs that infect numerous regions of the body.
The fecal-oral route of disease transmissionEven more disgusting — neurocysticercosis can be contagious.
“It is historically very unusual to encounter infected pork in the United States, and our case may have public health implications,” researchers wrote.
According to the CDC, if afflicted individuals do not thoroughly wash their hands after a bowel movement, they can spread eggs to other members of their household — especially through food.

Decent odds, but I may have to get over my liking for soft baconThe CDC says the unusual ailment is “preventable” but still leads to hospitalization for about 1,000 unlucky Americans annually....

Re: The Food Thread
Thickness is usually not a restaurant choice, but I also like thick and crispy. The center usually remains soft-ish.

I'd guess we get bacon maybe twice a year. When we do, we get it from our local farm store.

Re: The Food Thread
I like cinnamon in coffee. I often don't bother, but I'll make more of an effort now. This Is the One Ingredient You Should Absolutely Add to Your Coffee, According to a Cardiologist
... How To Make Your Coffee Even Better for Heart
Want to make your coffee even more of a heart-healthy beverage? Both doctors recommend adding cinnamon to it. “Some studies indicate [that cinnamon] can lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes and may also reduce high cholesterol and triglyceride levels,” Dr. Mehta says of why cinnamon is such a great coffee additive.
Dr. Mathis agrees, saying, “Cinnamon boosts our immune system, lowers cancer risk and adds a protective effect to our heart and brain.”
Adding cinnamon to your coffee is also a sugar-free way to sweeten it, which is particularly beneficial since both doctors say that sugar as well as sugar substitutes like Splenda can negatively impact heart health. “Sugar and artificial sweeteners are some of the unhealthiest things to add to coffee....
Not into cinnamon? Dr. Mathis says that unsweetened cacao is another healthy ingredient to add to coffee because it’s linked to supporting blood pressure and cholesterol. Cacao has several important nutrients including zinc, iron and magnesium.
As you can see, not only is drinking coffee good for your heart, you can add more flavor and extra heart-healthy benefits to it at the same time. The key is sticking with antioxidant-rich herbs (like cinnamon or cocoa) and avoiding additives with sugar or artificial ingredients. With this in mind, you can rest assured that with every delicious sip you take, you’re benefiting your body.
