Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

If a TSA employee finds you have a loaded gun in the airport, you will be charged with a crime and face civil fines. Also, if you have an unloaded gun that is not stored and transported properly, you will face charges and civil fines.

The typical fine for trying to bring a handgun through security is thousands of dollars. For certain types of firearms, like BB guns, compressed air guns, and flare pistols, The TSA fine can be between $330 and $1,960. For an unloaded firearm, you can be fined between $1,960 and $3,920 per violation. Loaded firearms, or unloaded firearms with accessible ammunition, can lead to fines between $3,920 and $9,800.

You also may be fined if the TSA finds an inappropriately stored firearm in your checked luggage. The TSA fine can be between $650 and $1,310 for undeclared or improperly packed firearms and between $1,310 and $2,610 for loaded firearms.
Thanks. MadCaw must have gotten the RW RepuQ exemption, twice.

That's the guy repugs are running for governor? Seriously?
A homophobe misogynist Chris Christie in blackface? I'm sorry, but if he wins, or maybe even comes close, NC isn't "purple."

A Florida Sheriff...... :laughing-rolling:
:o Did they take back the badge? They done ran wheeled him in.
Trump-Loving Ex-Congressman Arrested Amid Rumored Comeback Attempt
The former lawmaker is a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump and has been in legal trouble before.

Former Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) on Wednesday was arrested in Florida after failing to appear in court for an arraignment in Collier County, according to Gulf Coast News. The ex-congressman was cited by Naples police in August for driving with a suspended license.
Oooh, such a bad boy.
... Lee County Sheriff’s Office records show Cawthorn was released on a $2,000 bond.

Cawthorn is a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump. He lost his congressional reelection bid in North Carolina in 2022, but is rumored to be considering a run in Florida’s 19th Congressional District.
If he gets elected I'll miss being able to tease billy about it. I'll have to settle for O Really since it's his old district. :P
He’s been in plenty of legal trouble before, stemming from incidents both on and off the road.

The ex-lawmaker allegedly slammed into the back of a state trooper’s car in Collier County last year, reportedly causing about $30,000 worth of damage, and was investigated in 2022 by the House Ethics Committee for an alleged “improper relationship” with a staffer.
I didn't remember the damage being so severe. That's nearly totaled on a high mileage patrol car.
The far-right Republican was also ordered to pay more than $14,000 to charity that year after the committee found he financially benefited from the LGB Coin, a cryptocurrency he had been promoting — thus violating congressional conflict of interest rules....
MAGAt grift, no surprise. What about the Trump's billions from crypto? :x

Ask O Really, it's his old House district. MadCaw succeeded here with fundy turnout, and that almost won him a 2nd primary. Are there enough Floridians who think he deserves more cocaine-fueled sex parties and TSA busts?

Sure wish billy was around to tease him about this FLORIDA pol.

I dunno. "My" Florida is somewhere in a galaxy long ago and far away. There was a tourism promo with the slogan "Florida - the rules are different here." Pics of shiny happy people on the beach, Christmas shopping in shorts, margarita-fueled sunsets in the Keys, yada. Not to say that tourism promos are particularly realistic, but I'm pretty sure that when they said "the rules are different" they had no idea that would turn into no vaccinations, book banning, official gay bashing, trashing of the university system, and all the other destructive stuff the repugs have done since they got into power. And certainly not building a concentration camp and (maybe) building a Trump "library" downtown Miami.

What they'll do next is anybody's guess.
