The House Oversight Committee fell into chaos Thursday night after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) made an offhand remark about Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas).

Crockett and Greene got into it almost right away, with Crockett suggesting Greene didn’t understand the purpose of the hearing.

“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading,” Greene said.

An uproar ensued, with Comer calling for order, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) demanding the committee “take down” Greene’s words, essentially reprimanding her for insulting another lawmaker.

“That is absolutely unacceptable, how dare you attack the physical appearance of another person,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Are your feelings hurt?” Greene said.

The "Watch on YouTube" link does not always work for me. Yours wasn't before, but it is now, perhaps because of banni's update. Too bad that it didn't just fix the embed.

So it's a crude comment, but without any context I'd assume he was being intentionally snarky with an attempt at humour. I may have made a similar comment about Wisconsin women in winter during the time I was spending Januaries with the Potawatomi. In the case of Wisconsin women, it's based somewhat on truth, but an obvious exaggeration and not one I would have said publicly. But here's what I find strange of Brian Glenn, who I had never heard of before today. He doesn't seem to exist earlier than his radio career that started out in Dallas/Fort Worth. No Wiki entry, no bio on any of the many sites that say something about him. Maybe he created himself for the role?
