Kinzinger on GOP reactions to Trump verdict: Party ‘has lost all ability to think for itself’
... “Watching my party — the party of law and order — absolutely turn their guns against the jury, against the judge, against the system … this party has lost all ability to think for itself,” Kinzinger said Friday on “CNN This Morning.”
... Kinzinger, who served on the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, said “the most important” cases against Trump are those related to that day’s attack and his handling of classified documents — but said there’s “no doubt” that Trump also violated the law in New York’s case.
“How a single Republican can stand on any network … and say that what happened is a disgrace — never claim to be the party of law and order after that,” Kinzinger said on CNN. “We should be proud that the American legal system worked.”
AL Senator Tubberville questions legitimacy of Trump verdict
... “This is pure election interference,” Tubberville wrote, “We are no better than Venezuela or communist China.”
Lara Trump Claims Jurors Are in Danger Because of Biden
As Donald Trump’s supporters are reportedly posting violent threats and trying to doxx jurors in his criminal trial in New York, the convicted felon’s daughter-in-law made the wild claim Friday that ensuring juror safety will indeed be an important issue… because of President Joe Biden....
“Yeah, it’s a real thing you have to think about these days now, apparently, thanks to Alvin Bragg, thanks to—I’m sure we can say—thanks to Joe Biden,” she insisted....
That's your violent, unAmerican, rule of law hating team, Lara. Own it.... In the 24 hours after Trump’s conviction on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to help his 2016 presidential campaign, a non-profit research organization called Advance Democracy has identified a high volume of threats and violent rhetoric against the jurors, Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan, NBC News reported.
One post seen by Advance Democracy contained Bragg’s purported home address, while another user demanded the doxxing of the jurors.
“1,000,000 men (armed) need to go to washington and hang everyone. That’s the only solution,” read another post. “This s--- is out of control.”
Trump has incessantly criticized Bragg and Merchan since his indictment 14 months ago. Around that time, he posted an image of himself wielding a baseball bat beside a photo of Bragg.

Pffft, Fascist DerSantis' Florida.
ArticleRon DeSantis
Former President Donald Trump hasn't lost his voting rights in Florida. Rights are not removed in Florida where they haven't yet been stripped in the convicting jurisdiction.
That said, given the absurd nature of the New York prosecution of Trump, this would be an easy case to qualify for restoration of rights per the Florida Clemency Board, which I chair.
The bottom line is that Donald Trump’s vote this November will be one of millions that demonstrate Florida is now a solid Republican state!
You mean from the "law and order" party?
Admitting the coverup means admitting that his 2016 "win" was illegitimate and Hillary made him a LOSER. He'll never have the balls to do that.O Really wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 10:09 pmI'll give it to them that if Trump hadn't been Trump and hadn't been a former and wannabe President*, the case never would have been brought to trial. So to that extent, saying it's "personal" or "political" might be correct, in context. But here's the difference - hardly anybody actually pays off the porn star, and then tries to hide the payment. But if they did, and they weren't Trump, they'd have settled it as a misdemeanor way long ago and nobody would ever hear about it until or unless they ran for office. Trump coulda settled too, but nooooo!
Their only defences are:
1. He didn't do it. Well, yes, he did - even though they tried HE didn't do it, the accountants/lawyers did
2. He did it but it wasn't illegal. Well, yes, it was.
3. Even if it were illegal, it's not a big deal. Well, with a presidential election affected, yes, it was.
4. And finally, even if it were illegal and a big deal, he shouldn't be prosecuted because Trump.
Just as he'll never admit Comey's October surprise and Russian interference pushed him over the top.
Also means "laws for thee and not for me."
More coffee please.
