I'm still on the fence on that. Is there really such a thing as defensive arms only? Patriot missiles are one but I'm not aware of others.
Very few. An arms embargo would have to be near total. Of course, it would be temporary, just until the mass Gaza killing ends.
Anyhow, it's part of the national debate and the debate within the Democratic Party. It should have at least been voiced.

It's different if you're really in charge from when you can pretend to be. I say if I were in charge, I'd have called up nuttyahoo and said something like "Netty, you remember all those weapons and money we've been sending you? Want some more? Stop the attacks. Stop them now - this afternoon. Claim your "victory" and walk away. AFTER you've done that, we'll talk about more goodies."
However, it's a far more complex issue that I can pretend to make it, and potential for lots of unexpected and unwanted consequences. I would have been happy to hear some of the speakers call for "increased pressure" on Israel, to express disapproval of what they're doing, etc., but I don't think it would have benefitted Kamala's election (which is what the convention is about) to let a bomb-throwing loose cannon be a speaker.
