Who Is Richard Tornetta? Thrash Metal Drummer Who Took Down Elon Musk
Elon Musk has been dealt a massive blow in Delaware, after a judge struck down his $56 billion Tesla compensation package on Tuesday.
In a lawsuit filed in 2018, Tesla shareholder Richard Tornetta accused the billionaire entrepreneur of improperly dictating negotiations around the gargantuan payment package, further claiming that the board had acted without independence. Judge Kathleen St. J. McCormick sided with the argument that Musk's pay package via the electric car company was over the top.
"In the final analysis, Musk launched a self-driving process, recalibrating the speed and direction along the way as he saw fit," Judge McCormick wrote. "The process arrived at an unfair price. And through this litigation, the plaintiff requests a recall."
"Put simply, neither the compensation committee nor the board acted in the best interests of the company when negotiating Musk's compensation plan. In fact, there is barely any evidence of negotiations at all," the judge stated....
Who Is Richard Tornetta?
The man who could have cost Musk $56 billion of his fortune is Richard Tornetta, a former thrash metal drummer who was a part of the band Dawn of Correction.
Dawn of Correction released its first album, Dead Hand Control, in 2008. The members went their separate ways shortly afterward.
Tornetta, who holds a degree in industrial design, describes himself as a "marketer, inventor, custom fabricator, car guy, family man, and drummer" on his profile on F6S, a platform that connects founders and startups to funding.
"I designed and built an illuminated headpiece for onstage drumming performances," he wrote on his profile. "That's a fancy way of saying I made a mohawk that lights up while I'm playing drums."
Further showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit, Tornetta added that his headpiece "features 32 tricolor LEDs, resistor heat sink panel, one-foot length of 5500K IP67 LED strip, 16 pin molex tether with hand-braided leads, custom-molded epoxy coated fiberglass helmet, and portable control box complete with four DMX controllers, strobe module, and 12VDC power supply."
While that part of Tornetta's work may prove impressive, he can now add to his resume that he defeated Musk in court. Tornetta, who filed his lawsuit against several Tesla directors alongside Musk, held just nine Tesla shares at the time that he took legal action, according to Reuters.
Elon Musk's X anti-hate group case thrown out
... (X) said the non-profit group designed a "scare campaign" to drive away advertisers, and it demanded tens of millions of dollars in damages.
But in his decision Judge Charles Breyer said Mr Musk was "punishing the defendants for their speech".
Judge Breyer said X appeared "far more concerned about CCDH's speech than it is its data collection methods"....
1. The Steele Dossier was released in 2017, so it clearly wasn't interference with the 2016 election.
2. When DJT sued claiming there were lies in the Steele Dossier, he lost and had to pay $382,000 attorneys' fees to Steele.
Article. Moron. This is the problem with this hellscape you have created @elonmusk - this is false. The Steele dossier wasn’t released until 2017. Maybe you should stick to things you know.
NBC posted that article 13.5 hours ago. Here is the offensive tweet, still without X-mandated fake news labeling

X suspends ‘White Dudes for Harris’ account after massive fundraiser
Elon Musk’s social media platform X suspended “White Dudes for Harris” Monday night, shortly after a massive fundraising call where almost 200,000 people helped raise more than $4 million for the vice president and presumptive Democratic nominee.
The account, @dudes4harris, was reinstated Tuesday morning after it was blocked hours before because of “a user report” for “violating our rules against evading suspension,” according to a screenshot shared with The Washington Post....
Elon Musk is pouring his heart and soul (and cold hard cash) into electing Donald Trump this November.
New Federal Election Commission filings on Wednesday show that Musk’s pro-Trump America PAC has ramped up its operations, spending an initial $5.8 million. Most of that money, $3.6 million, has gone toward canvassing and field operations.
The political action committee has thus far raised $8.8 million with donations from Palantir’s Joe Lonsdale and the crypto tycoons the Winklevoss twins. Meanwhile, America PAC is under investigation in North Carolina and Michigan for collecting personal data under the guise of registering voters....
Suckers, should have known when nutcase Elon called hero cave rescuers pedophiles.Elon Musk’s Twitter Buyout Is Officially the Worst Deal Since Financial Crisis
Loans that Elon Musk used to buy Twitter have become the worst merger-finance deal for banks since the financial crisis of 2008-09, according to a report.
Seven banks involved in the deal, including the likes of Bank of America and Morgan Stanley, gave Musk’s holding company about $13 billion to take the social media giant private in 2022. According to The Wall Street Journal, banks who lend cash for takeovers typically try to sell the debt to other investors fast—but that has not happened with the Twitter deal.
The Journal reports that banks haven’t been able to sell the debt without taking huge losses, predominantly because of the company’s poor financial performance. That means the loans have remained “hung,” or stuck, on banks’ balance sheets.
The value of the loans declined after Musk’s $44 billion takeover of Twitter—which he’s since renamed X—was completed, but the deal is now in “historic territory” in terms of poor performance, according to the Journal.
Citing data from PitchBook LCD, the “Twitter loans have been hung longer than every similar unsold deal since the 2008-09 financial crisis for which the research firm has complete records,” the report says.
While the lenders have been able to receive large interest payments on the X loans, some of the banks have marked down the value of the loans to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars....
