Its made a lot of difference in me. Obama made all the shitheads lose their minds, just by wearing a tan suit. Now they're spouting all that nazi, NRA Jeezus shit like, "Your Body, MY choice!" I feel somewhat better as it becomes more evident that it was nowhere near the "mandate" they were convinced it was. He lost the popular vote again. But it is a very small, very cold comfort, indeed.
Having retired three years ago with retinal degeneration (not disability- they rejected that), I now face having my SS reduced 30% or more, if not stolen altogether. After working and paying FICA since I was 15. Same for the wife, who has already filed for her SS, starting in May. She, also, has been paying her part since high school.
And in other news, I have embraced a small dose of hypocrisy. I got my concealed carry permit, and, lately, carry my 9mm with me, everywhere I am legally allowed to carry it. I'm too goddam old to take too much abuse lying down.
