He remains CO GQP Chair, for now. Still a great platform for spewing his hateful stupidity. Let's hope it does hurt RepuQs in Nov.

Opinion: Trump ally Laura Loomer launches disgusting homophobic attack on Pete Buttigieg
I'd call on the Trump campaign to denounce Loomer's homophobic rant, but that would be as productive as spitting into a fan.

:obscene-birdiered: Loomer, and GoChastenGo!
... Buttigieg and his husband Chasten adopted twins in 2021. They did not use a surrogate, and the breast feeding bit is a lie based on a doctored and thoroughly debunked photo, the kind of right-wing garbage Loomer is known to toss about like a rabid raccoon.
:---P
... Trump is a big fan of Loomer, who has called herself “a proud Islamophobe” and promoted 9/11 conspiracy theories. Last year, Trump called her “very special” and said, “I appreciate your support and everybody appreciates your support.”
 :puke-left:
... There’s more than enough that comes out of Trump's slurry mouth to judge him on. But the election draws nearer, it’s worth also judging him on the company he keeps.

Loomer is a vile bigot, and she has now attacked a prominent gay couple with homophobic lies, calling them psychopaths and freaks and questioning whether they can call themselves fathers.

Loomer is also a friend of Donald Trump. That should matter.

41% Of Republican Voters Agree That GOP’s Anti-Trans Rhetoric Is ‘Sad And Shameful’
A new survey from the progressive polling firm Data for Progress shows that voters across party lines are fed up with candidates using anti-trans rhetoric on the campaign trail.

Y'all are lucky. The volume of anti-trans ads here is overwhelming :puke-left:
The Internet Is Wiping Away Tears After Hearing How Different This Student's Questions Are For Donald Trump Compared To Kamala Harris

The presidential election is right around the corner so as most news networks tend to do around this time, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle interviewed college students to ask who they're voting for and why.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiYjEkSjNe8

Her exchange with a Rutgers University student who identifies as non-binary has gone viral on TikTok with nearly 15 million views.

"If you were to ask Vice President Harris a question, what would it be?" she asked.

The student replied, "I think I would ask her, 'How soon do you think we can get the Equality Act passed?'"
(The Equality Act is a bill that would include sex, sexual orientation, and gender as categories that are protected against discrimination or segregation by federal law.)

Ruhle then asked the same student, "How about Donald Trump?" The student replied, "I would ask him, 'Do you see me as a human?'"

"Oh." Ruhle responded. There was silence as she seemed to fight back tears before whispering to the student, "I'm sorry."...

Colorado Amendment J. Repeals ban on same-sex marriage.
Yes 63.9% 1,629,830
No 36.1% 921,429
AP estimate: 76% of votes in • Winner called: Nov. 5, 2024 at 10:50 p.m. ET.

May seem redundant given the SCOTUS ruling legalizing SSM, but it's not impossible to imagine the current SCOTUS overturning that.

The House wingnuts are off to a flying start. They definitely should make a bigger deal of it.

The more time they spend on bathrooms the less time they'll spend on trying time implementing Project 2025.

So, I'm good.

9 years old:
“They’re not a boy or a girl,” the girl responded. “They’re my friend.”
10 years old, first slumber party:
“I’ll change in the bathroom,” they said. “To give the girls privacy.”

... The next morning, they came home from their sleepover giddy (and surprisingly well rested). They showed me the pink and purple tie-dye shirt they’d made and told me about how great a movie “A League of Their Own” was even though they “hate baseball” (their words).

“Oh, and mom,” they added. “Everyone took turns changing in the bathroom by themselves. Not just me.” When they said this to me, it confirmed that this had indeed been on their mind that night. And, it meant something to them that the other kids at the party decided to change in the privacy of the bathroom. I imagine it helped my child not feel singled out and made them feel even safer.

Kids do just fine figuring these things out, and that's what some parents, some schools, all bigots and many pols are so terrified of.

I'm learning that there are so many plots on the spectrum and so many labels for them that I'm almost to the point of calling everyone 'queer', and being okay with that.

Ironically, the lesbians prove they are the "bigger men":
He faced charges for tearing down their Pride flag. The couple forgave him.

All they knew was that the facilitators of the restorative justice program said the man charged with repeatedly tearing down the Pride flag outside their home was “ready.” A meeting was set. Now the couple were walking into a community center to talk to him.

Michelle Logan and Jenna Burnett said they sat in chairs set up in a circle inside the Arlington Mill Community Center in late September and began explaining to Matthew Henshaw how hurtful it was for them to see their Pride flag forcibly removed after they finally came out and moved in together. They said they told him that his actions made them feel unsafe in their own home - and that they wanted him to understand why.

The conversation was part of the Heart of Safety Restorative Justice Conferencing Program, which includes a meeting between the people charged in criminal cases and the victims of the alleged crimes, in hopes of providing a pathway for young adults to be held accountable outside of traditional legal proceedings.

Logan and Burnett said they could not detail everything that occurred, but Logan said “we felt he was sincerely remorseful and that we were being heard.” Later, the couple assigned Henshaw to do “certain things that we thought would be helpful for his learning and for being a better ally,” Logan said, and he did them.

As a result, Arlington, Virginia, prosecutors on Monday dismissed all charges against Henshaw, who was arrested this year and charged with three counts of bias-motivated unlawful entry and three counts of petit larceny.
... Eventually, police arrested Henshaw, who at the time was an active-duty soldier assigned to Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall and a member of the 3rd Infantry Regiment.
Military terrorist, again.
Maj. John Strickland, a spokesman for the Army, said Friday that Henshaw was involuntarily separated from service in October....

I missed this last summer:
Thailand becomes first Southeast Asian country to allow same-sex marriage
Rights groups hail a ‘landmark moment’ as upper houses passes the marriage equality bill.

... The upper house on Tuesday approved the measure in its final reading – with 130 votes in favour from the 152 members in attendance. Four senators voted against and there were 18 abstentions....

In March, the lower house approved the bill nearly unanimously with only 10 of the 415 sitting lawmakers voting against it....

Nearly 1 in 10 U.S. adults identify as LGBTQ, Gallup survey finds

The percentage of U.S. adults who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or something other than heterosexual has continued to rise, hitting an all-time high of 9.3%, up from 7.6% in 2023, according to a Gallup report released Thursday....

The increase in LGBTQ identification over the last year, Jones said, is due to more of Generation Z, who are 19 to 28, reaching adulthood. Nearly one-quarter, 23.1%, of Gen Z identify as LGBTQ, according to the Gallup report, compared with 14.2% of millennials, who are 29 to 44; 5.1% of Generation X, who are 45 to 60; 3% of baby boomers, who are 61 to 79; and 1.8% of those 80 and older.

“The more Gen Z people who become adults, the higher that number is going to go,” Jones said.
The not-so-secret grooming plot has been wildly successful!
... LGBTQ identification has nearly tripled over the 12 years that Gallup has tracked it, according to Thursday’s report, with just 3.5% of U.S. adults saying they identified within the community in 2012....

Jones noted that one reason more younger people identify as LGBTQ is that they are much more likely than older generations to identify as bisexual. More than half, or 56.3%, of all LGBTQ adults in the U.S. identify as bisexual, according to the new report, but that percentage drops drastically among older people.

More than half of Gen Z LGBTQ adults, 59%, are bisexual, compared with 52% of LGBTQ millennials, 44% of Generation X, 19% of baby boomers and 11% of those 80 and older. Older LGBTQ adults are most likely to identify as gay or lesbian, Gallup found.
Switch hitting is more acceptable. Gays and lesbians used to be harsh critics of the "betrayal".
Bisexuality is more common among women than men, Jones said, “and particularly younger women are most likely to identify as bisexual, and by extension, LGBTQ+.”

Nearly one-third, 31%, of Gen Z women versus 12% of Gen Z men identify as LGBTQ, with most identifying as bisexual, according to the report. Nearly 1 in 5, or 18%, of millennial women identify as LGBTQ versus 9% of millennial men.
One more step on the road to doing away with men entirely. :o ;)
The percentage of U.S. adults who are transgender continues to be very small, at 1.3%, according to the Gallup report. Generation Z is more likely than any other generation to identify as trans, at 4.1%, compared to 1.7% of millennials, 0.6% of Generation X, 0.2% of baby boomers and less than 0.1% for those 80 and older....
