Never saw such a faire lass piper! She does her clan proud.

 Name?
EDIT: Found her, Ally Crowley-Duncan. Surprisingly, there aren't many female pipers playing Free Bird.

Long, but very interesting article for fans. It gets repeated for some odd reason.

A REVEALING NEW DOCUMENTARY COULD REDEFINE OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE POP ICON. BUT YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER GET TO SEE IT.

[O Really]

So I was generally ignoring a set of commercials when a familiar tune caught my ear. Cheery little melody "H O T T O G O you can take me hot to go" and I looked up and saw a Target ad with a bunch of kittens running around. First thought: timing was a bit off to play "hot to go" and show cats, but then I wondered who in hell picked the Chappell Roan song for a family-type ad at Target and have they ever listened to the entire song? And did they understand they lyrics, including that the singer is trying to get another girl to take her home for errr fun and games?

Good song, reminiscent of the Go-Go's but hardly family-friendly.

F'rinstance:
Well, I woke up alone staring at my cеiling
I try not to care, but it hurts my feelings
You don't have to stare, comе here, get with it
No one's touched me there in a damn hot minute

[Refrain]
And baby, don't you like this beat?
I made it so you'd sleep with me
It's like a hundred ninety-nine degrees
When you're doing it with me, doing it with me

Target has been recruiting our youth to be lustful gays and lesbians for years. Hadn't you heard?

So we came up for a few days in Monterey, and today is our day at the Monterey Jazz Festival. I don't know that I've ever heard of most if any of these people, but Lady O is a bigger jazz fan than I, and thinks it will be a great experience. In any case, I guess it's on the "must attend sometime in your life" list so here we are.

Modern day jazz has passed me by.

I don't usually listen to covers - particularly of any of my favourite songs - but these guys are good. Never heard anybody hit Randy's high notes as close as this guy does. "Take it to the Limit" by Australian band Hindley Street Country Club.

Randy Rainbow Gets Catty In Taylor Swift Takedown Of Donald Trump
The song satirist explored the Republican nominee's "blank space."

Randy Rainbow enlisted Taylor Swift and her 2014 hit “Blank Space” to taunt Donald Trump as the general election draws near. (Watch the video below.)

In the song parody released Monday, the comedian riffed on the Republican presidential nominee’s false ruminations about immigrants eating pets in Ohio and other ugly drama on the campaign trail....

Rufus Wainwright 'Mortified' By Trump Using His Cover Of 'Hallelujah' At Bizarre Campaign Event
The musician said Trump's use of his Leonard Cohen cover "was the height of blasphemy."

... During his town hall, Trump also played songs from Sinead O’Connor, Elvis Presley and Guns N’ Roses. Axl Rose, frontman for Guns N’ Roses, previously called the Trump campaign “shitbags” for playing the band’s 1987 hit, “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” at a 2018 rally....

'Shitbag DonOLD' works for me.

Pop queen Beyoncé set to take the stage with Kamala Harris at Houston rally

Probably not a swing state for Kamala, but:

... Harris, who is locked in a close race against Republican Donald Trump, is heading to Texas to support another Democrat, Colin Allred, who is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

Beyoncé, who hails from Houston, is expected to perform, Reuters reported, and will come with her mother Tina Knowles.

Good, Cruz needs to go.

Chappell Roan: Pink Pony Club (Live) - SNL

Who will this be an ad for? My Little Pony seems a natural fit, but there's that 'suitable for kids?' issue again. ;)

Yeah that's good. They could probably do "Knocking on Heavens Door" too, but "Welcome to the Jungle" might be a stretch.

It's a good algorithm day for me. I stumbled on Ally the Piper (Ally Crowley-Duncan) again while listening to Mia Asano.
