Well, it's one independent franchise who apparently wants to use it as a management training step, but it's a really stupid thing to post - predictably attracting ridicule, such as it did.

At least it's starting out at $10 an hour..... that's better than most jobs around Hendo.

I'm guessing the owner has read all the press about how tough it is to find a job, and how people are graduating from college and not getting hired and moving back in with the parental units, yada, and decided it was a good opportunity to upgrade his workers - at least the ones who had to learn to press the button with a picture of a hamburger on it and give back the amount of money shown on the screen.

Problem is, among the population likely to apply for that job, a lot of them are African-American, even if the town itself is 95% Caucasian, and - statistically - the ones with the degree are likely to be Caucasian and young. So his bright idea might have run into a bit of a race and age discrimination problem since there is absolutely no way to justify a college degree as a necessary requirement for the cashier job. He could have accomplished the same thing and avoided the ridicule if he has simply advertised for a manager trainee or some such job. Gotta love some people like that, though - they do keep some lawyers in some fine toys.
