I initially went but then my training kicked in and I immediately sent back a request for a raise, a massive increase in my expense account, and three million dollars to evacuate all my network of informants. I don't think anybody is saying they don't. And sometimes those consequences are unexpected and frequently unwanted. Just ask the Michigan Arab-Americans who rejected Biden because of Gaza. Or the California farmers who'll be short of water this summer because Trump wanted to put on a show of "turning on the water." Or those idiots who believed Trump could really make eggs cheaper.

I don't know you, Supsalemgr, and freely admit I don't understand you. You grew up in the same world the rest of us did, a world where a promise by the US government could be relied on. Where contracts were honored (OK,maybe not the ones with the Indians), where we supported our allies and where political party was second or lower to being Americans. Where laws were passed with votes from both parties, and "negotiation and compromise" meant something. Now among the "consequences" of the last election, the president is reneging on commitments with long-term friendly countries as well as with citizens and those who have followed the law attempting to become citizens. He's intentionally violating laws, knowing most will lose in court but he'll still get by with a lot. Are these the "consequences" you voted for? Seriously?
