Putin humiliated as hackers take over Russian state TV - and issue chilling warning
The hackers' propaganda victory will be a significant boost for Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has been calling for more international support in the face of Russian aggression.

Vladimir Putin has been dealt a significant blow as hackers infiltrated state TV, airing a video that squarely places the blame for the Ukraine war on the Russian leader....

The video then draws parallels with the Soviet Union's previous military campaign in Afghanistan, which ended in defeat and disgrace. A voiceover predicts that the current conflict in Ukraine will conclude in a similar fashion - with thousands of dead soldiers and a humiliating defeat, reports the Irish Star....

In total, the Soviet army suffered approximately 15,000 fatalities and 35,000 injuries during its doomed military campaign. In stark contrast, Putin's forces have suffered horrific casualty numbers, which continue to rise rapidly each day.

Ukraine's military intelligence has reported staggering Russian losses, with over 600,000 soldiers either killed or wounded in the conflict....

The source of the numbers may be suspect, but if true, how can any country absorb 600,000 casualties and still think this is a worthwhile pursuit?

A little suspicious of this, a search of Russian State TV hacking only showed this article.

I came across other articles about Ukraine doing this a couple of times to Russia earlier this year and Russia doing this to Ukraine. Maybe it's not a big deal to the MSM any longer -0-?

Another perspective on the vote:

Ukraine May Cost Trump the Election
Donald Trump’s stance on Russia’s war in Ukraine is motivating some Republicans to abandon their party and vote for Kamala Harris

 I hope enough voters care enough about Ukraine.

U.S. confirms North Korean troops are in Russia. What it means for the war in Ukraine.

Targets will be shorter and skinnier?
... It's also an indication that the bloody conflict has taken a toll on Russia's military. U.S. military officials estimate that more than 600,000 Russian troops have been killed or wounded since the war began, in 2022.

"You've heard me talk about the significant casualties that [Putin] has experienced over the last two and a half years," Austin said. "This is an indication that he may be even in more trouble than most people realize."

"Let's be clear," Kirby said. "If North Korean soldiers do enter into combat, this development would demonstrate Russia's growing desperation in its war against Ukraine."

He added: "If Russia is forced to turn to North Korea for manpower, this is a sign of weakness, not strength, on the part of the Kremlin."...
 Mentioned in other articles - This gives South Korea more incentive and liberty to arm Ukraine.

Russian ballet star Vladimir Shklyarov dies after falling from building

There's a lot of that going around.
... While Russian authorities have launched an investigation into Shklyarov’s death, the “preliminary cause” has been judged an accident, Russian state media outlet RIA Novosti reported.

“He died a natural death. It’s not a crime,” a source in the emergency services told RIA Novosti.
:headscratch:
... In the days after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Shklyarov was quoted as speaking out in support of peace.

“I am against the war in Ukraine! I am for the people, for a peaceful sky above our heads!” he was quoted as saying in a Facebook post by Alexei Ratmansky, a Russian-Ukrainian former ballet dancer.

Ratmansky, a former director of Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet, had been collecting anti-war messages from other figures in the ballet world....

Ukraine is screwed.

The price is even higher:

Who is Alexander Vinnik, the Russian prisoner being traded for American Marc Fogel?

Global oligarchy wins, again  , and Putin gets more money for terrorizing Ukraine. :puke-left:

It's happened again:
Russian musician who called Putin a 'b***ard' dies after 'falling from window'
The Russian musician Vadim Stroykin, who was based in St Petersburg, has died following a fall from his window while officials were raiding his apartment.

A Russian singer-songwriter who had spoken out against the war in Ukraine “fell” to his death from a window while security officials were raiding his apartment on Thursday, according to the human rights project OVD-Info.

Vadim Stroykin, 58, was a popular musician based in St Petersburg and had been educated in Britain....
Hero RIP

Putin's puppet:

Donald Trump’s Turn Of Phrase On Ukraine Is Slammed On Social Media
The president received a stark reminder.

Roman Sheremeta 🇺🇦🇺🇸
(Professor of Economics, Board Member, Founding Rector of American University Kyiv)
Journalist: Do you view Ukraine as an equal member of the peace process?

Trump: That’s an interesting question. I think they have to make peace… That was not a good war to go into. They have to make peace.

Three points:

1. It is not “an interesting question.” Ukrainians are the ones fighting the war. So of course they are an equal member of the peace process.
2. Ukraine didn’t “go into war.” They didn’t start the war. They are defending their right to exist.
3. Ukraine wants “peace” more than anyone else. But surrendering parts of Ukraine to russia is not peace.
Jay in Kyiv

Trump blames Ukraine.
Anyone who still had any doubts about how Trump views Ukraine and the war:

"I think they have to make peace. That was not a good war to go into."

Until today, I didn't know that Ukraine had a choice.
Not a good war to go into - as if being invaded is your choice!!! Trump is a Putinista.
It’s not a good war—because Russia started it for evil purposes. Ukraine has no choice but to fight it.

Trump’s unwillingness to support a people fighting for their own future and right of self-determination is a betrayal of everything that makes America great and good.
What Trump tells Ukrainians here is akin to telling Americans after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor that WW2 was “not a good war to go into.” What a hypocritical piece of shit he is.
MAGA voters are useful idiot pieces of shit, too.

Stalin sacrificed more than 23M in WW2, more than 10M of them military deaths.

Worse. Donald Trump is looking more like the Ribbentrop to Putin's Molotov.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/revealed-tru ... 00461.html
Donald Trump’s demand for a $500bn (£400bn) “payback” from Ukraine goes far beyond US control over the country’s critical minerals. It covers everything from ports and infrastructure to oil and gas, and the larger resource base of the country.

The terms of the contract that landed at Volodymyr Zelensky’s office a week ago amount to the US economic colonisation of Ukraine, in legal perpetuity. It implies a burden of reparations that cannot possibly be achieved. The document has caused consternation and panic in Kyiv
Are we becoming the bad guys 😢

Just curious: What, in your opinion, is the end game here? Let’s say this Ukraine-Russia war goes on and on, with no end in sight. Are you in favor of continuing to give Ukraine billions of our tax dollars throughout that time? What should be the limit of our funding?
