Joe did his best by extending the deadline, but there was too much Dolt .45 inattention and incompetence to overcome in such a short amount of time for ending a 20 year war. TRE45QN has shown his utter disdain for the military, generals and troops, his entire life and presidency*.

Most of those hordes of people you see coming over are asylum seekers, and current law says they have to be let in. "Stay in Mexico" might be good policy, but absent some smoke and mirrors "emergency" declaration isn't really legal. You may have noticed, it's really easy to get in through the border entries, especially for the 90% of drug carriers who are carrying US passports.

Still tragic, though. There's a 3-4 hour window after the onset of symptoms in which clot-busting therapy can be initiated. The 2-hour delay in care caused by the arrest may have been the difference between serious injury and no deficits at all.

It's interesting that the cop isn't IDed, nor are any others that may have participated in transport, booking, jailing, etc. I wonder why. There's also no mention of discipline.

3 top U.S. prosecutors resign over order to drop NYC Mayor Eric Adams corruption case

Three senior federal prosecutors resigned Thursday in connection with the department's decision to drop the criminal corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Danielle Sassoon, the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, resigned, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office said. Her decision came three days after Justice Department leadership instructed her to drop the criminal corruption case against Adams.
