I ask this in all seriousness, but has he actually done anything? I saw he came here and listened to some people complain, but as far as I can tell it was just a photo op. Maybe there was some sort of followup action taken, I don't know. That's why I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious.

In addition to him coming he has sent Noem and Duffy. From reports I have seen the folks in the hardest hit areas are satisfied with the assistance they are seeing from FEMA. This is an improvement from initial action.

Why don't you give some examples of Biden or Obama going to events like the half a Superbowl or Daytona including the flyover and the expense of flying the Beast to the event for a lap around a track.

On top of all that, more than a few people in WNC live in remote areas. Hell, one outfit used pack mules to deliver food and medicine and water to many of the more isolated areas. Also, more than a few of those people in isolated areas are not what one would consider Rhodes Scholars.....many may have no idea what help is available or how to access it. Because you can't fix stupid. Much easier to whine and lie about shit you don't understand.

So has anybody seen anything credible that describes the "fraud" occurring or the cause of "waste"? Minor anecdotal examples are fun, but even if all of them were accurate don't amount to much. Medicare fraud has been pretty well documented and some convictions have occurred (right, Sen. Scott R-FL?) but all the fraud was committed by medical providers and patients, not CMS. Wouldn't it make sense to strengthen security instead of blaming the "victim"? There probably are some questionable expenses by USAID, but has anybody seen an enumeration and statement of what percentage of total expenses they are? I'd bet it's less than 5%, but even if it were 20%, does that invalidate the value and need of the other 80%?
These people have just picked up a buzzword that the public will react to and use it as an excuse for destruction, mostly just to stir mistrust and animosity toward government. Take away resources so that nobody can do their job, then point at them and say they're doing a lousy job. Does anybody really believe any of these "savings" will come back to or benefit regular citizens? As if.
