... On Tuesday, Vance posted a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, defending his recent absences from the Senate. He’s still an Ohio Republican senator, but he and a handful of other GOP senators haven’t been showing up for Senate votes in the lame duck. Their absences are frustrating some in their party as Democrats are confirming lots of President Joe Biden’s judges without much resistance from Republicans.
Vance was specifically called out by Grace Chong, chief financial officer and chief operating officer for “Bannon’s War Room,” the podcast hosted by Steve Bannon, a close ally to President-elect Donald Trump. She tagged Vance and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in a Tuesday post saying, “You guys better show up and do your fricken job!!” She has since deleted her post.
... Vance inadvertently just revealed that Trump is interviewing people to replace Christopher Wray, the current FBI director. Wray’s term isn’t up until 2027, and even though Trump is the one who appointed him in 2017, the two have clashed over the years.
It’s only been speculation until now that Trump may replace him. Vance just confirmed that Trump’s team is already taking steps to do it.

Vance was suddenly back in the Senate on Tuesday afternoon, voting against one of Biden’s nominees to an Oregon federal court. And his tweet was deleted.
Chong still remembers what he called her, though. She’s mocking him for it on her X page.

JD Vance’s version of masculinity is about as weak as his commitment to the working class.
No one is telling men they’re bad for joking or being competitive—people push back when those jokes punch at marginalized groups and when that “competition” is rigged to keep power in the hands of white men while shutting out women, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and anyone who doesn’t fit their nostalgic fantasy of white nationalist manhood.
This story that he's created isn’t about supporting men; it’s about asserting dominance. Vance doesn’t care about fairness—he wants a world where c̶o̶n̶s̶e̶r̶v̶a̶t̶i̶v̶e̶ bigoted white men set the rules and call it “natural order.” The loudest voices about “individual strength” are always the first to demand government intervention to uphold their own fragility.
If your masculinity crumbles at the mere thought of gender rights, maybe you shouldn’t be lecturing anyone on what it means to be a man.

Irony, but we have seen that male MAGAts are the biggest crybaby victims there are.

The lapdog vice-president, with evidently a lot of time on his hands, has managed to be firmly rebuked by Pope Francis, denounced by outraged NATO allies and widely ridiculed for his bizarre ‘masculinity’ rant at a weekend MAGAfest just a month into his tenure. Way to create a buzz/acute embarrassment back home!

But Vance, for all his performative bravado — whether it’s lashing out at European allies for not welcoming extremism, or engaging in petty posting on X, or weirdly obsessing about “the essence of masculinity” and a “broken culture” that tells you “You’re a bad person because you’re a man” — is a phony.
He morphed from Never-Trumper to groveling suck-up for unimagined power, but he can’t quite pull it off as a poser with a makeover beard spewing stupid and offensive and strange. Vance has been doing us proud by attacking friends, embracing enemies, insulting humanitarians, drawing papal ire, and pontificating laughably on what makes a man a man.
