If you don't think firing people in critical jobs before you even understand what they do isn't reckless stupidity, and sending a person to head the FBI on the basis that he'll harass enemies isn't malicious destruction, then you haven't been paying attention.Supsalemgr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:26 pmThat is you opinion and you are certainly welcomed to it.O Really wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:19 pmSeriously? If you were a manager in a big corporation for 40 years, then you were either the world's worse manager or in the world's sorriest corporation if you really think these people are approaching any issue in a rational manner. Classic "shoot then aim", without the aim part. But assuming you really did have a good career in management, I'm guessing you know they're crazy and are just yanking our chains as part of your "own the libs" game.

It was inevitable that some good employees would be let go. It happens with any RIF. I tend to think more time should have been taken in some cases, but there would still be some good folks fired. It is too bad those folks have been affected.O Really wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 8:12 pmIf you don't think firing people in critical jobs before you even understand what they do isn't reckless stupidity, and sending a person to head the FBI on the basis that he'll harass enemies isn't malicious destruction, then you haven't been paying attention.Supsalemgr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:26 pmThat is you opinion and you are certainly welcomed to it.O Really wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:19 pmSeriously? The real root cause of this is the wasteful bloating of our federal government by both parties over the years made these actions necessary.

I'm willing to go along with that if anybody has any actual studies to show it's true, and has a plan typical of other rational organizations to adjust staffing to workload. It's pretty hard to believe that there wouldn't be any credible professional studies done, and less believable that the Dodgy people have actually reviewed them.Supsalemgr wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 6:34 am

Staffing reductions are usually caused by reduction in workload, usually related to drop in business. Has the workload of any of these agencies been reduced? Are there fewer people to provide services for? Were there people un- or under-utilized? Did they hire too many people for the available work, or did the amount of available work shrink?
Consider this: You were an insurance executive - you know everything about the insurance business and are a capable manager. Now suppose somebody thought it was a good idea to give you a top executive position at Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation. Do you think you could learn enough about the company and its international links in a month and make positive-result decisions on cutting entire divisions, dropping clients, terminating leaders?

I think the fact our country has over a $30 trillion debt is proof enough of overspending. For years I have been opposed to a balanced budget amendment as I felt our leaders needed some flexibility in case of an emergency situation. However, I now don't believe our politicians are incapable of handling that flexibility. The hole we are in can no longer be overcome with growth of the economy.O Really wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 11:31 amI'm willing to go along with that if anybody has any actual studies to show it's true, and has a plan typical of other rational organizations to adjust staffing to workload. Re: The LEO thread
Well, a quick couple of trillion could be found, or not lost, without Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy. Or, I guess you could eliminate 200,000 people with average $100k to get the same amount.
BTW, has any President had balanced budgets? Oh yeah. Him.
But it's possible some departments are overstaffed. Let's see some actual studies showing that, and showing what jobs are in excess. I've been on merger/acquisition teams and been in companies that were merged or acquired. Never, ever, did any of that occur without following and extensive "due diligence" process. And that's not a one-month job.
However, we all know that the Doge project has nothing to do with waste or excess staffing. It's just happily going about its business of getting rid of functions Trump and or Musk find distasteful or that regulate them and their companies.

POTUS Musk and PINO love bad cops:
Wow.Trump Shuts Down DOJ Database Tracking Federal Police Misconduct
The National Law Enforcement Accountability Database was used to weed out potential job candidates with poor track records.
... The National Law Enforcement Accountability Database, which Trump proposed creating during his first term in 2020, was closed Thursday. Federal law enforcement agencies are now unable to search for or add data, the Justice Department said....
There were 4,790 records of federal officer misconduct and 4,011 federal law enforcement officers in the database, spanning from 2018 to 2023, according to a statistical brief released by the DOJ in December.
Ugh.“Qualifying incidents include criminal conviction, suspension of an officer’s enforcement authorities related to misconduct, termination related to misconduct, resignation or retirement while under investigation for serious misconduct, and sustained complaints or records of disciplinary action based on findings of serious misconduct,” according to the brief....

Have Vrede do some research with google and mail them a letter. Maybe they’ll get back to y’all quickly.

That's so stupid! This forum is already full of examples of the terminations being counterproductive or otherwise unwise. Why should I reinvent the wheel when the challenge was issued to SoupySales to prove the opposite? What is wrong with you that you're too lazy to read what's already been posted? Seems like you are the one that's afraid of learning something. So stupid again, child. The examples are largely from national publications. A BRD endorsement means little. As for the national outcry and your idol's tanking poll numbers, they will have an effect if we still have a democracy. If we've already gone fascist it won't matter and you can jerk off to that.1 CAT FAN wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 3:45 pmWrite them a letter, see if they take the examples here in advisement.Vrede too wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 3:27 pmThat's so stupid! New FBI Deputy Director Is 'Significant Shareholder' In Right-Wing Video Platform
Dan Bongino, the new deputy director of the FBI, doesn’t have any experience with the bureau. But he’s majorly influential in conservative media.
Great, an FBI that's even more RW than its historic norm.
