Due process. It's necessary to be absolutely certain criminals are actually that - criminals. Due process is important for any law abiding society. You don't want innocents getting sent to prison over an unverified accusation of being a violent gang member. And if a person is an illegal alien but isn't a violent gang member, it's of my opinion they don't deserve to be sent to prison in El Salvador. Just deport them to their home country.

You can't really be that unaware. You're smart enough to make a living you whole life and feed yourself. You must know that at the point a person is identified as "illegal" the question immediately arises "what to do." It is at that point that due process begins. Same for anybody in the country, citizen, visitor, asylum-seeker, stowaway. I can understand your being afraid of heartless MS13 guys, but do you really think they're the ones out cutting your lawn, picking your fruits and veggies, laying your bricks, drywalling your house, cleaning your office? And do you think the majority of undocumented immigrants are really violent? And do you really think the MS13 people and your lawn care guy should be treated the same?
