Nikki Haley on Wednesday slammed former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard — President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to be director of national intelligence — over her 2017 “photo-op” with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“He was massacring his own people. She said she was skeptical that he was behind the chemical weapons attacks,” said Haley of Gabbard on her SiriusXM show.

“Now, this to me, is disgusting.”

Haley, who served as United Nations ambassador under Trump, pointed to a 2017 speech she gave where she held up pictures of Syrian children who were victims of a chemical weapons attack in the town of Khan Shaykhun.

Gabbard, just months before the attack, met with Assad during a secret trip to Syria and, in 2019, would declare that the Syrian president was “not an enemy” to the United States.

“For her to say that Assad was not behind that, literally, everything she said about that were Russian talking points, every bit of that, that was Russian propaganda,” said Haley before adding that the Democrat-turned-Republican also blamed NATO for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

She continued, “And the Russians and the Chinese echoed her talking points and her interviews on Russian and Chinese television.”...

A memo purportedly showing the Trump nominee expressing outrage over how the country hit “rock bottom” on Jan. 6, 2021, only surfaced days ago.

Kathleen Sgamma, President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Bureau of Land Management, withdrew her nomination on Thursday, days after a watchdog group uncovered a memo in which Sgamma appeared to strongly criticize the violence at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Investigative reporters at Documented published a memo on Tuesday that they say Sgamma, who heads the Western Energy Alliance, wrote and sent to special members of the alliance, just a day after the Capitol attack. WEA is a lobbying firm that represents hundreds of oil and gas companies.

“I don’t usually bother you with reactions to major events shaping the country and world because there is plenty of coverage on those… However, the events yesterday at the Capitol were so shocking that our policy engagement with and PAC support for the Trump administration compels me to speak up,” the Jan. 7 memo began. “I am disgusted by the violence witnessed yesterday and President Trump’s role in spreading misinformation that incited it.”

Sgamma wrote she was also “disgusted” that Trump had “discredited all the good work he did reorienting the judiciary back toward respect for the rule of law and constitution by dishonoring the vote of the People and the rulings of those very same judges on his numerous challenges” to the 2020 election results.”

Her disgust didn't last, though. She came groveling back to the cult.

... In a statement to the committee, Sgamma said it had been an honor to be considered and that she would “continue to support President Trump and fight for his agenda to Unleash American Energy in the private sector.”

It’s hard to believe that amid all the adventure traveling, social media influencing, and propaganda-ing, she’s had time for her government job as the literal Director of Homeland Security.

Except, according to a new report in the Wall Street Journal, ICE Barbie isn’t really fulfilling her government duties as the head of our country’s multi-billion-dollar counterterrorism department.
