I'm game. I'll propose 3 changes:
1. Longer game, 20 or 25 to win.
2. A 2-way tie for first earns 0.5 points. A 3-way tie for first earns 0 points.
3. Subtract a point for a bust. If 2 people bust they each lose a point. If 3 people bust we should find a new game.
Sounds good except for the length. 20-25 could take months to finish. Would you be okay with 15?
