'Jagoff' Hegseth

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Should be frustrating and infuriating for every citizen, red or blue. Of course any replacement could still be worse and likely may be.
Good lord how?
Russian general. :o
Think he'd get by the Senate Komrade?
I dunno, but Jagoff, Gnome, Wannabe Kennedy et. al. did.

That was then.

I'm gonna make a fairly safe prediction.

As DonOld's poll numbers continue to decline and republican congresscritters numbers decline on his coattails putting 2026 in jeopardy, they are suddenly going to find their spine and there's going to be a civil war.

P.S. you can kiss the 'Big Beautiful Deal' goodbye.

I agree the "big beautiful bill" is dead, although they could still do damage with scrap parts.

I don't know that the repugs will actually ever revolt, though, regardless of the pain Trump causes them.

Trump has tight control over their political and personal lives, literally limiting their movement, freedom of association, and access to information. His allies also closely monitor their activities, making it difficult to organize and plan rebellions.

Even if congresscritters did attempt revolts, they would face challenges in overcoming the "collective action problem," meaning that it is difficult to get enough repugs to participate and coordinate their actions.

Trump employs brutal tactics to suppress any form of resistance. This creates a climate of fear that discourages open rebellion.

Thanks AI - that was actually a minor edit of an AI-generated explanation of why the slaves didn't revolt in the American South. Pretty much the same situation with the enslaved repug congresscritters.

That was pretty good, it mostly had me fooled except I thought it didn't quite sound like you.

I should probably rephrase, I don't think there's going to be a max exodus, but enough disgruntled frightened moderates and extremists to effectively paralyze them and make the most dysfunctional, ineffectual and do nothing Congress even more so (I recently read hat trump has only signed five bills so far, least ever for the first hundred days).

Cue the blame calling and infighting.

That AI is pretty good.

For RepuQs to revolt they have to fear the general elections more than they do the primaries. Not sure how many that will be true for. We might see more independence in 2028 when DonOLD is truly a lame duck.

As if Trump's word means anything whatsoever.

"Safe" could be as long as a day.

True, but it's annoying that Jagoff was doing that well as of yesterday.
