And even his most frequent critics were left stunned by the move.

Pirro, a former county prosecutor and elected judge, has for the last two decades spent far more time on TV than in any courtroom.

However, she has been an unwaveringly loyal voice for Trump on the air and helped advance his false claims about the 2020 election.

Yeah, both she and Ed were perfect choices for the "weaponization of the Justice Department" that they've been incessantly whining about (all the while ignoring the fact that none of those investigations would have even happened if not for trump's own actions) and will now embark on the very thing they whined about for no reason.
