Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act

Unread post by Ombudsman »

So last year Congress passed a bill signed by Obama to prohibit Congressmen from insider trading. Part of the bill enabled affected persons to file on-line. Last week they amended this part of the bill so that personal information could not be stolen by cyber criminals. Makes sense to normal people right?

Here's how our boy Solar comprehends it: "obama OKs Insider Trading For Congressional Members - Obama Quietly Signs STOCK Act Rollback"

Do any of the CPF lemmings have the sense to question their chairman? Of course not. Or if they do, they're too scared of him to do it. (He must spend a lot time threatening them.)

C'mon, Supsla, BoBo, Reality, Thorn...just because you're too chicken to post here (we know you're reading this site daily) can't you at least show a little integrity and call your boy on his BS?

They did repeal part of the law just recently: http://nyulocal.com/national/2013/04/15 ... ading-ban/

Solar is partially correct.... he just likes blaming Obama, but all the Repubs voted for it too... it's just more of the rich against the plebs.

We should hold ALL our politicians accountable, not just our party of choice. Their financial information should be public knowledge, I don't think for a minute it's to protect the information from cyber criminals.

This is all easily confused because Solar didn't provide any source to my knowledge, but yeah, it's not the total disaster that Solar was implying.

They repealed the part that offers an online submission, to protect from cyber crime.

Sorry, don't buy the reason given. They wanted that repealed so the public can't see that information easily, they don't want us to know how much money they are making off of insider trading. It's like saying we can't submit our taxes online anymore because cyber crime. It's bullshit.

Just my opinion.
