Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Site Traffic/July 4th

Unread post by bannination »

Starting July the 4th the site has been under a heavy load at times and performance has been fast and slow to crashed the database server in one case. I've taken some actions to reduce load and block a few suspicious looking hacking attempts. Hopefully performance will improve now.

Just let me know if you notice you can't do something you used to do and get some weird errors instead.

Yours truely,

I haven't had any issues. Umm, maybe some slow page loading, but I thought that was because I have too many tabs open. No biggie, the pages always have loaded.

Fixed now, I think. Pages loading normal speed again.

Thanks for all you do!

It's coming in waves. It'll take some time, but we'll get `em.

Can you tell where they're coming from?

Just sampling them to get an idea... mostly Singapore, Mexico, China. Mostly traced back to Chinese companies regardless of where the traffic is geographically coming from.

Banned at a minimum 16 million IP addresses from Singapore/China. There's been several times where I wanted to say I thought I was making progress just to be slammed again, but I think I'm finally making progress!
