You might want to read this description of the "deal" you're cheering for. It's effectively a 650% tax increase on Americans that buy products made in Japan. That increase is what this trade "deal" is.

The "deal" trump got is, in effect, just an increase on Japanese imports from less than 2% to 15%....so now something that cost about a hundred dollars last month will now cost you about $115 on something from Japan. The fabulous "deal" ie merely a 650% increase in the tariff rate from what it's been for years. The result is that Americans will pay 15% more, at least, for Japanese products. Winning! Yeah, when supplicant trumpeted this Japan "deal" as something to celebrate, I couldn't fucking believe anyone could be so goddamn stupid. The ONLY thing the "deal" does is raise the tariff rate on Japanese imports, which results in Americans paying more for Japanese products.
