I know, but in this case the leading Bananas retired the side in the top of the 9th 1-2-3. The rain must suspend the two hour clock until the game restarts.

I don't get the "MOTOROLA" reference.

Brewers 13 Ws in a row :wtf:
Sound on.

The announcer was reading a Motorola ad when the planes flew over and his voice registered surprise like the Cubs.

Brewers come back from 8 down yesterday. .

The Cubs haven't had a come from behind win since early July, 35 games. New record. :puke-left: :puke-left: :puke-left:
Ah, I tuned out the announcer.
Brewers rally again to win franchise-record 14th straight

The Milwaukee Brewers set a single-season franchise record with their 14th straight victory Saturday night. And, in keeping with recent form, it wasn't easy.

The major league-leading Brewers rallied for the second straight game and beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-5 in 11 innings. Milwaukee set a benchmark -- so far -- for consecutive victories, surpassing the 1987 team that opened that season by winning its first 13 games.

The Brewers will look to add to their streak in the series finale against division rival Cincinnati on Sunday. The Reds have lost 13 straight against the Brewers.

Milwaukee's overall record for consecutive wins is 16 games, from 1986 to 1987, when they won their last three games in 1986 and their first 13 in 1987....

:wtf:
... Milwaukee is 34 games over .500 at 78-44 and boasts a nine-game lead in the NL Central over the Chicago Cubs. In the National League, the Brewers are eight games better than the East Division-leading Philadelphia Phillies (70-53).
Bummer for you.

'Let's go Brewers' chants rain down at Wrigley as Freddy Peralta handles Cubs, 7-0

Ouch, the downside to having a red hot rival an hour and a half away. Have you ever gone to Milwaukee for a game?
... The Brewers grew their National League Central lead over the Cubs to nine games.
Ugh, this home stand could kill the Cubs.
Before the game, Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy emphasized that his team remains an underdog despite holding the best record in baseball....

Been to a couple in Wrigley North (Milwaukee).

If the Cubs basically don't win the next four, the division is Milwaukee's, but the Cubs still have a wildcard lead. .500 ball should get them in the dance.

There was some good natured ribbing back and forth with my seat neighbors. As I reminded them when I left, Milwaukee has only made the World Series once 40+ years ago, never WON the World Series and always chokes in the playoffs :---P.

On the upside, Craig Counsell heard me yelling to him from the stands and took my advice.

He might have a lingering hand injury also, but he needs to reset and spend some time hitting off a tee.
