And here's the funny thing: I don't care that he lied. If people lying on TV were banned, no politician would ever be on TV again.

In my view. it should be up to the consumer to discern truth from lies.

The left accurately pointed out that Tyler Robinson could be MAGA given dissension/jealousies on the right, and accurately pointed out that he came from an ammosexual MAGA household in an ammosexual MAGA community in a MAGA state. It is those truths that the right is desperate to distract from, and that is ALL that Kimmel stated.

Kimmel did not say that Tyler Robinson is MAGA. He said that MAGA was desperately disowning Tyler. It wasn't until Mom spoke out after Kimmel's monologue that we learned that Tyler's politics had become leftish.

Someone as good as you are with words should be better at parsing their meaning rather than relying on the Faux Noise interpretation.

A Democratic congressional candidate who joined an Illinois ICE protest found herself tear-gassed and tossed to the ground by an ICE agent.

The moment played out as Kat Abughazaleh (D), who is running for Congress in Illinois’s 9th district, and other demonstrators protested outside an ICE facility in Broadview on Friday morning.

She said the group was tear-gassed and shot with pepper balls — and that one activist was dragged into the facility.

Videos taken at the scene show an ICE officer picking up Abughazaleh and slamming her to the ground. She landed on her backside with an audible thud.

Commenting on the shocking encounter on her social media account, Abughazaleh said: “My body hurts and will probably hurt way more tomorrow.”

I don't know that the southern rebels wanting to take over Ft. Sumpter really cared much about clear lines of authority. So far, people have tolerated Trump's heavy handedness at least in part because his civil invaders haven't done much harm - or done much at all in most cases. And maybe in a real time version of "first they came for..." nobody cares all that much about allegedly undocumented immigrants. A few pics like the famous Kent State shot, though, and it may get some people's attention.
