AP Top 25
Not much change in the top 9 except OR and TX are both slightly down after easily winning their games. Must be a conspiracy against liberal cities. I suspect that SEC refs are somehow involved.

Re: College football
So today we have UNC taking on the Mighty Mouse, who was accused regularly by Billy.P of scheduling weak opponents and claiming false valor. I don't necessarily agree - I think UCF has had some good teams and has tried to raise their level of competition among the company of other traditional local powerhouses, 'Canes, 'Noles, and 'Gators. We've also got two of those "powerhouses" going at each other with the opportunity for the 'Canes to embarrass the Gators in Miami. Or be embarrassed.
We've got some cross-state rivalries with UDub and Wasu playing in the Apple bowl and Duck and Beavers playing on a surprising sunny day.
Aztecs are playing the Golden Bears, who stomped them last year, but their overall record against Cal is 4-5. Hopefully a good game.
I suppose we should throw in a WDE! for Auburn-Oklahoma.
Go football - should be a fun day.

Already 14-0, but you know I would have picked them. I'll try to keep making honest picks for the games in progress.
We won 27-10!

ESPN
Syracuse (-3.5) > @Clemson
Y'all know that 1 FAT CAN sucks. Syracuse is up 24-7

34-21, 3-1 vs 1-3, Dabo gone?
ESPNU
UNLV (-3.5) > @Miami (OH). 10-21, ut-oh.
UNLV came back from -14 twice, wins on a 40 yard FG with 0:15 left, 41-38

North Texas (-14.5) > @Army. Already 28-14

Karma for the Lee portrait. 45-38

3:00 PM BTN

It's a relief to not feel a duty to root for historically shaky UNC. 34-9. Does BB stand for Bye-Bye?

Boise State (-11.5) > @Air Force.
49-37, like a swarm of SAMs.

7:30 PM
ABC
@4 Miami (-7.5) > Florida. GoO ReallyGo!
UF made them sweat for a little while there, 26-7.

NBC/Peacock
9 Illinois > @19 Indiana (-6.5

Yahoo lists it as "IU -6.5". Real helpful. I chased it down elsewhere, then did a 2nd check since it's counter-intuitive. Go IL!
10-63

CBS/Paramount+
Washington (-20.5

I prefer 2-0 UW, but I think 2-1 WSU will beat that spread and come up short. A win won't count in my tally. 59-24, I was wrong about the spread, no problem.
FOX

It's a good thing Billy.P didn't have to watch today. It might be hard to blame the refs when your QB gets sacked 10 times. And the whole team totally falls apart while leading by one with 5 minutes to go. But hey, it was the refs.

Re: College football
They were almost blameable. On the late drive that put WDE up by one the refs missed 2 critical PIs. However, they finally called one and WDE capitalized with a TD. Those sacks were some sort of record, either for OK or the NCAA.
