Ex-QB Mark Sanchez charged for allegedly attacking truck driver

... "This incident should never have happened," Marion County prosecutor Ryan Mears said in a statement Sunday. "What began as a disagreement between a 38-year-old former professional athlete and a 69-year-old man should not have escalated into violence or left anyone seriously injured....
 The drunken former professional athlete got his ass kicked, could have been killed and is the one charged. Opps. I wonder if Indiana has an enhancement for assaulting elders.
... Sanchez was scheduled to be part of the (FOX) broadcast crew for Sunday's contest between the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium but will no longer work the game....
He could even be done. He was sort of on duty by being in Indianapolis.

I suspected a possible Philly upset, did not see tonight's coming.

Too early to stick a fork in the Ravens, but man are they hurting.

Yep, his broadcast career is over. Sad.
Ex-QB Mark Sanchez now facing felony charge for altercation

Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez is facing a felony battery charge over an altercation between the former NFL quarterback and a 69-year-old truck driver early Saturday in Indianapolis.

Marion County prosecutor Ryan Mears announced the upgraded charge Monday morning, saying Sanchez faces a Level 5 felony charge of battery "involving serious bodily injury." Punishment can range from one to six years in prison, according to Mears....

Mears added that prosecutors are still investigating the incident and that Sanchez, 38, could face additional charges....

Cardinals' Gannon apologizes to Demercado for sideline spat

... "I just told [the team], I kind of let the moment of what happened get the better of me there. Obviously, I try to be emotionally stable and calm because my job is to solve problems during a game and lead the charge on that. So, it's not really who I am, who I want to be, and I told the guys that today.

"So, it's a mistake by me, and it's just like everybody in there, everybody made some type of mistake yesterday, which culminates to why we didn't win the game, and we can't let it happen moving forward."

Demercado's touchdown would've put Arizona up 28-6 with about 12:40 left in the fourth quarter. Had the Cardinals gone up by 22, history shows they likely would have won. Teams up 22 in the fourth quarter are now 1,276-1 over the past 25 seasons, according to ESPN Research....

Jags must be for real, at least so far. Never been 4-1 before. Only once before, I think, were they 3-1.
Travis played fine himself, but he shoulda retired before this season. Hope he doesn't get seriously injured trying to defy age.
And in the only game all year that you'd have heard me say "Go Traitors", they let the team formerly known as 'Skins win.
Damn crappy weekend for football, and I'm glad we didn't waste it watching many games.

True that. She needs to get Travis out of there and avoid being a face of what looks so far like a really mediocre team.
