Well OK then.

"Safety in Numbers" among your "Brothers and Sisters" doesn't mean that you won't get arrested. It doesn't mean that you won't go to prison. It doesn't mean that you won't be ordered to pay over half a $million in restitution. It doesn't mean that anyone, let alone "numbers", will step forward to help or protect you.

"Safety in Numbers" and "Solidarity!!!" does mean that as the prison bars slam behind you, your "Brothers and Sisters" will anonymously post a couple more self-serving videos about Anonymous to YouTube.

Glad we cleared that up.

I appreciate your concern for me, rstrong
I will take your remarks to mean that you are complacent with corruption, and injustice...that standing up for civil rights aren't worth the sacrifice :|

Opposing the dishonesty and sleaze among your pals - winding up the young and gullible up with claims of brotherhood and sisterhood and strength in numbers - that turn out to be utterly nonexistent when they get caught - doesn't mean that I approve of dishonesty and sleaze among others.

Claiming that I do, doesn't make you look too honest either.

If you're opposed to the wordage of another, as you've continually referenced, that just seems really frivolous...just saying
How about we agree we have different perspectives? I perceive the collective as a "hive" :|

The vast majority of so-called hackers arrested are what we programmers call "script kiddies." People with no real hacking skills.

In the '80s and '90s they'd download UNIX scripts, or lists of exploits and default passwords from BBS's and use them to impress their friends until the FBI showed up at their door. By the mid 1990s you could even download kits to make your own computer viruses and launch denial of service attacks, with no real programming skills. Many did.

And so Anonymous responded to WikiLeaks' VISA accounts being shut down by enlisting followers to download and run a Denial of Service tool. It didn't take skills; only gullibility.

Almost none of the 88+ arrested (plus 40 more served with search warrants and warned by the FBI) were skilled hackers who knew the risks. Many of the arrested LulzSec members were not skilled hackers who knew the risks.

They were otherwise innocent dupes, conned by Anonymous's b*llsh*t claims of protection through anonymity, strength in numbers and brotherhood and sisterhood.

Anonymous? You mean like those 138+ folks mentioned above thought they were anonymous when the police came 'round to collect them?

Tell us again how "We have Safety in Numbers Brothers and Sisters." Tell us how those numbers, brothers and sisters helped those who were arrested. Did you blow up the British Parliament for them? Spring them out of jail? Build new lives for them in an Anonymous version of the witness protection program?

Did you even show up at a trial or two for moral support, to show your appreciation?

Did you send even a single one of them a thank-you note? An explanation telling them that when they were found, arrested, tried, jailed and bankrupted, Anonymous Safety in Numbers Brothers and Sisters had a hair appointment that day?

Heck, did you even help pay their legal fees with a Kickstarter campaign?

Does Anonymous stand for anything? Or is it just a running gag, a practical joke on the gullible?

Seems you 'think' these arrests are not viable proof of government/corporate corruption :eh:
Both continue to violate basic human rights...governments are beyond corrupted by corporate interests which it serves over the welfare of its constituents :-0?>
Let me assure you...the number of 138+ is inaccurate...think on a global scale :ugeek:

Tell us again how "We have Safety in Numbers Brothers and Sisters." Tell us how those numbers, brothers and sisters helped those who were arrested.
You are aware that we've already covered that!!!
Did you blow up the British Parliament for them?
Are you serious??? Hello...reality here :wtf:
Spring them out of jail?
Yes!!! That's the idea...they shouldn't be there anyway...now should they?
Build new lives for them in an Anonymous version of the witness protection program?

Answer this...why do you object to activists standing for civil rights, and basic freedoms?

Nice straw-man argument. Is honesty ENTIRELY banned in your organization?

Opposing the dishonesty and sleaze among your pals - winding up the young and gullible up with claims of brotherhood and sisterhood and strength in numbers - that turn out to be utterly nonexistent when they get caught - doesn't mean that I approve of dishonesty and sleaze among others.

Has it occurred to you that if you want to convince people you're on the freedom, then perhaps you should at least pretend to be more honest than Dick Cheney speaking at Enron?
\V/ wrote:Let me assure you...the number of 138+ is inaccurate...think on a global scale
Yes, far more than 138 suckers charged.

This word you keep using.... "Anonymous"... I do not think it means what you think it means.
\V/ wrote:You are aware that we've already covered that!!!
Yes. I wrote about all those arrested when their anonymity turned out to be a sham: "Still watching to see how that "Safety in Numbers Brothers and Sisters" helps them."

Your non-response response was some YouTube videos and "It's called solidarity!!!"

The videos will give those arrested something to do while waiting for that solidarity to kick in any moment now. Any moment now. Any moment now.

Good job.

Are you serious??? Hello...reality here
Reality? Your symbol is a Guy Fawkes mask from a movie where the British Parliament building is blown up and presto, everyone is free. Because a military that had no problem firing on civilians suddenly doesn't because one single person is removed from the chain of command.

If you wanted actual reality, there's the fate of the real Guy Fawkes: Caught, tortured, convicted, and sentenced to have his genitals cut off and burned before his eyes before being drawn and quartered. This after his bomb plot failed. And every year since then, Guy Fawkes Day, devoted to ridiculing him.

The only "strength in numbers" was that the confessions tortured out of him led to others sharing his fate. (Of course, arrested Anonymous/LulzSec leaders did this *without* the torture.)
\V/ wrote:Yes!!! That's the idea...they shouldn't be there anyway...now should they?
Yeah, posting yet another cheezy YouTube video should have protected them!

More non-reply replies.

Because no doubt, honest replies wouldn't match the fantasy.

Yes. You con the gullible into downloading and running a DDOS tool or taking part in some other kind of attack, using claims like:

Image
Once their "Anonymous" protection turns out to be a sham, once they're arrested, once they look to their "brothers and sisters" for support, once that "strength in numbers" and "Solidarity!!!" is their only hope, what they get is:

You must be real proud. But as you say:

You're the one posting comic book fantasy stuff like:

I'm the one posting proper citations; links to the arrests of the not-so-Anonymous.

You can still disprove me on the "strength in numbers / brothers and sisters / solidarity!!!" stuff helping out those arrested. Anything from the comic book actions of your organization's icon, to a more realistic Kickstarter campaign to cover a significant amount of legal fees for a significant number of them.

You know, anything more helpful to them than

Image

But I'm not counting on it. It's pure fantasy on your part.
