Trouble in MAGAville, not looking good for Justin:

Justin Fields shrugs off Jets owner Woody Johnson's criticism
He's got two years guaranteed. He'll be ok.
Income, sure, but he'd rather be starting.

Exasperating, isn't it?
Jets owner makes his feelings perfectly clear on Aaron Rodgers success at Steelers
Aaron Rodgers spent two seasons with the New York Jets but failed to lead the struggling team into the NFL Playoffs before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers for 2025

... Still, Johnson also stands by his decision to release Rodgers following the 2024 season's conclusion. "I never look back," Johnson said. "You have to look forward to football.

"Even when you cut players, they could be a Hall of Famer. You just never know. But Aaron's playing great now. He's in a situation that's working for him."
Again, Dick Dick (Woody Johnson), YOU are the problem, not who the QB of the year or month is.
... The Jets hit the road on Sunday with a trip to divisional rivals, the Bengals, who toppled Rodgers and the Steelers last week. Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco will lead the Bengals' offense.
:headscratch: The Jets and Bengals are in different divisions. Anyhow, 0-8. GoJoeGo!

0-1 so far this week.

TV here:

1:00 PM

FOX
Go @Panthers > Bills (-7.5), break my heart again.
Buffalo (4-2, 1-1 Away) visits red-hot Carolina (4-3, 3-0 Home). The Panthers have won four of their past five games after stymieing the Jets 13-6 in Week 7. Carolina quarterback Bryce Young suffered a high-ankle sprain in that win and is expected to miss this contest.
Aging veteran Andy Dalton, another Bears castoff (2021), is next on the depth chart. It places a "D" next to Young's name, but never says what "D" stands for in the key  . Game Day Decision?
Opps, how humiliating! Trubisky in da' house with 1/2 a quarter left, Chicago Dog.
It was Dalton, but the Panthers pretty much failed in all phases of the game, 9-40 :(

CBS
Go Dolphins (1-6, 0-4 Away) > @Falcons (3-3, 2-1 Home, -6.5)
There are limits to my solidarity, O Really. :problem:
O Really, you monster. 34-10

4:25 PM CBS
GO @Broncos (-3.5) > Cowboys
A real stompin', 44-24

GO:

1:00 PM

@Bengals > MAGA Jets. GoGeezer JoeGo
Like a LIAR with dementia winning a 2nd presidential election, the MAGA Jets put together a 23-7 4th to win 38-39  . Justin Fields had a very good game, but the winning TD came on a trick play pass from RB Breece Hall. Joe Flacco had an even better day, cool.

@Ravens (-2.5 :shock: ) > Bears, sorry.
Lamar is still listed as "Out" on the depth chart. We're back? Tyler Huntley had a great day passing and running, 30-16. Caleb did okay, but Chicago has no rushing game.

49ers > @Texans (-2.5)
Purdy is still listed as "Out" on the depth chart. Mac Jones is next in line. 15-26 :puke-left:

4:05 PM
@Saints > Buccaneers (-3.5). GoPanthersGo!
3-23 :(

4:25 PM
Titans > @Colts (-14.5)
I don't really care and a loss won't count in my tally, but I can't resist with the spread close to as big as they get for NFL games. 14-38

8:20 PM NBC
Packers (-2.5) > @Kaarons. Ouch, what will GCG do?
Confusing game to watch. Kaaron is wearing yellow like old times, but it's vs GB. It took me a minute to figure out who I am rooting for.

Ouch.

The crowd at Bank of America Stadium did not stick around to watch the Panthers get blown out by the Bills on Sunday afternoon.

The crowd that remained in the fourth quarter was about 80 percent Bills fans - if not higher.

I guess it's just me, but I don't quite understand forking over $500 for a couple of tickets, dealing with traffic, $50 more for parking and another $100 for food/drinks and then bail at halftime just because my team is getting thrashed. Halfway through the 4th, OK, just to try to get ahead of rush, but why not just go with the experience of an NFL game with at least one good team playing?

When I was a kid my dad and I had season tickets to the Tampa Bay Bucs from their inaugural year (0-14) on. The running joke was we were going to watch the "real football" teams scrimmage.

Yeah that's what I mean. You're likely to see some good plays and entertainment even if it's the other team doing it.

Of course in 1976 it was a bit cheaper, even including the Red Lobster stop for a bite. ;)
