President Donald Trump approved major disaster declarations for Alaska, Nebraska, North Dakota and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe late Wednesday, while denying requests from Vermont, Illinois and Maryland and leaving other states still waiting for answers. ...

Trump published an item to his social media platform on Wednesday afternoon, announcing that he’d personally approved $2.5 million in disaster aid for Missouri. Ordinarily, that wouldn’t have been especially notable as a national news story, but the context matters.

The president’s online statement didn’t just announce the relief funding, it also emphasized the number of times he won Missouri’s electoral votes, as if there were some kind of connection between his political support in the state and his eagerness to provide disaster aid. The Republican went on to reference the “incredible Patriots” in the GOP stronghold.

Asshole.

A president for Republicans and those that bow down, not all Americans. It's like this boy's actions are designed to purposely weaken the United States. As president, your aim should be to mintain the cohesion of our country. You don't want to play favoritism with states just because their electoral votes went towards you. You shouldn't aim to emphasize internal differences and exacerbate them. That doesn't bode well for a country.

Pentagon readying thousands of Guard ‘reaction forces’ as U.S. mission widens

The Pentagon has ordered thousands of specialized National Guard personnel to complete civil unrest mission training over the next several months, an indication that the Trump administration’s effort to send uniformed military forces into urban centers - once reserved for extraordinary emergencies - could become the norm.

The Defense Department’s newly established “quick reaction force” within the National Guard must be trained, equipped with riot-control gear and ready for deployment by Jan. 1, according to internal documents reviewed by The Washington Post. The 200 troops will be drawn from National Guard personnel whose primary focus is responding to disasters like nuclear accidents and terrorist attacks, the documents said.

... According to ABC News, more video clips showed agents tackling and arresting several people, including U.S. citizens, outside homes decorated for Halloween. In one clip, a man identified as Carlos Rodriguez can be heard yelling, “You’re scaring our children to death.”

“Unbelievable. Never thought this would happen in my neighborhood – scaring our children to death, thinking this is a cool thing to do,” Rodriguez said in the video, ABC News reported.

If you didn't know this was USA, you would think it is a third world country run by a fascist regime. Oh, USA is run by a fascist regime. My heart goes out to our USA friends that are being subjected to this jack boot regime.

This is exactly the kind of behavior that americans have always condemned in what they called "third world countries" with totalitarian regimes. Now that it's happening in their own country with the consent and encouragement of their "democratically elected government" they are surprisingly tolerant. Hmmmm.
