Y'know, in the long history of English royal families, Andrew's transgressions are pretty mild, even assuming he did all of and exactly what has been claimed. Actually, in comparison to a current American royal wannabe, he's not that bad. I'm surprised that he's being treated so harshly, and suspect that it has more to do with his being somewhat obnoxious and unlikeable to the rest of the family and gaining too many enemies and not enough friends. Apparently King in waiting William can't stand him and is mostly the one behind all the flogging.

In a message obtained by Congress, the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein wrote that Donald J. Trump spent hours at his house with one of Mr. Epstein’s victims.

In one of the messages, Mr. Epstein flatly asserted that Mr. Trump “knew about the girls,” many of whom were later found by investigators to have been underage. In another, Mr. Epstein pondered how to address questions from the news media about their relationship as Mr. Trump was becoming a national political figure.

The three separate email exchanges released on Wednesday were all from after Mr. Epstein’s 2008 plea deal in Florida on state charges of soliciting prostitution, in which federal prosecutors agreed not to pursue charges. They came years after Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein had a reported falling out in the early 2000s. One was addressed to Mr. Epstein’s longtime confidante Ghislaine Maxwell, while two were with the author Michael Wolff.


In one email from April 2011, Mr. Epstein told Ms. Maxwell, who was later convicted on charges related to facilitating his crimes, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump.” He added that an unnamed victim “spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned.”

In an email from January 2019, Mr. Epstein wrote to Mr. Wolff of Mr. Trump: “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.” House Democrats, citing an unnamed whistle-blower, said this week that Ms. Maxwell was preparing to formally ask Mr. Trump to commute her federal prison sentence.

This sort of puts the zap on trump's LAW (Lie And Whine) that this Epstein thing is a "Democrat hoax."

It's entertaining for people to beat Trump over the head with "Epstein, Epstein, Epstein" but I would think most would have observed that no sex or behaviour scandal is going to take Trump down. Heck, he'll probably shoot somebody on the street soon just to prove himself right. Actually, he's already shot random people on the street except they just happen to be in boats instead.

If I turn out wrong, I'll be really happy.

I don't think he's going to jail or even get impeached (this year) for this, but the floodgates are (possibly) cracked, but the political price could be a whopper.

I make no predictions, but the difference this time is that the issue has divided MAGA. They were dismayed over DonOLD's betrayal well before any Dems jumped on board, and many won't let go of something they, and even Dementia Don, were screeching about for years. After all, QAnon predicted that pedophiles (and ephebophiles) would be exposed and fall.

Fwiw, it's now more than 22 months since the title of banni's thread implied that the list would be released and we'd be in a "followup" phase.

Adelita Grijalva sworn in as House member 2 months after election

Adelita Grijalva was sworn in Wednesday afternoon on the floor of the House of Representatives by Speaker Mike Johnson after the Democrat was elected two months ago in Arizona.

Immediately after the ceremony, she became the 218th House member to sign the discharge petition, the bare minimum to approve a floor vote on legislation compelling the federal government to release the case files of Jeffrey Epstein....

"This is an abuse of power," she said. "One individual should not be able to unilaterally obstruct the swearing in of a duly elected member of Congress for political reasons."

... The petition has signatures from all Democrats and four Republicans.

Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California told reporters Wednesday night: "I believe we're going to get 40, 50 Republicans voting with us on the release. And if we get that kind of overwhelming vote, that's going to push the Senate and it's going to push for a release of the files from the Justice Department."
