What does that mean, I wonder. "troubling numbers" to me would be that no, they're not turning on him. "Troubling" to a trumpist might mean they are.

Wait - Republican support "dropped" to 82%??! Yeah, I know, it says 38% overall, and that is legit low, but an effin 82% of Republicans still support him? Well, there you have it - most everything that's wrong with 'Murica in one sentence. So do they (a) really support the most demonstrably corrupt administration in US history or (b) not recognize corruption when it's in their face or (c) know it's corrupt but don't care.

Do they think it's OK for presidents (of any variety) to intentionally and continually lie to the public on matters of significance and trivial as well?
Where's the outrage that has been shown in the past for lying about Vietnam, Pentagon papers, "weapons of mass destruction", hell, even Biden's health? Sure, the term "lying" can be ummm, "interpreted" or words taken out of context, but Republicans used to generally be against it. How long was Obama bashed for saying "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor" (and nevermind that he actually said that in the context of "if he stays on your chosen plan). How about Bush the Elder getting bashed and booted for "no more taxes"? But if you take out the fuzzy interpretations, the words out of context, the intent to disparage, the misunderstandings, the true errors, you still get daily lies by Trump - and many of those are on significant topics.

Do they really believe groceries are going down, despite their own personal experience to the contrary? Have none of that 82% bothered to ask Google about what tariffs are and who pays them? Do they really think the best allies of the US are in Russia and Saudi Arabia and that Europe is evil? Do all of those 82% think everybody eligible for SNAP is a deadbeat bum? How about getting rid of the Department of Education? Do they actually know what that department does (or doesn't do)?

82 effin percent! Lady O keeps thinking that all Republicans couldn't be evil, and that there must be some out there that are still "traditional" or even "Reagan style" Republicans. Well, Honey, I hate to tell you, but apparently there aren't. At least not enough to make much difference.

It's not Trump. It's 38% of voters - 82% of Republicans. That's the problem and it will be generations if ever that it gets better.
