Dunno what it's like now, but there was a time when the Dook-Carolina game was the major event of the season. And the game itself wasn't even at the top of the list. Parties started in the morning, the stadium and surrounding areas was packed, bars overrun if the game was televised, and from a fan standpoint, it might as well have been the Super Bowl even if both teams had had a lousy season.

It'll be interesting to see if the stands are even full today.

1 North Dakota State (24) 12-0. Not the champs every year, but all roads to the Championship have gone through them for years. "The reigning national champions are the North Dakota State Bison, who have won 10 championships since the 2011 season."
2 Montana State (1) 10-2 up1 after beating @2 Montana 31-28. 8-0 in conference play, they get the Big Sky's auto-bid.
3 Lehigh (private, Bethlehem, PA) 12-0 up1. Patriot Conference
