Things are not going according to plan.

Now at least three people who have faced federal charges tied to Operation Midway Blitz have been cleared by grand jurors. Charges have been dropped for various reasons against at least 13 people overall, while charges are still pending against another 18 known defendants.

No case has led to a conviction, so far.

I was hoping the Laugh Factory manager was the chicken or the frog. However, there was an animal involved. The "assaulted" agent is a pussy.

But the other day, I read a story about a gas station/convenience store somewhere in LA saying the clerk working there saw a few unmarked ICE SUVs pull in, get out (some with masks covering their faces) so the clerk ran over and locked the door from inside and began giving them the finger through the door glass. The clerk said one of the guys not wearing a mask was Bongino.

Hell, he's already deputy FBI director. Guess he's decided to go out on ICE missions since Patel hogs the bureau''s jet. So it's either sit around the office shoving large piles of cocaine around on his desk with the butt of a sawed off shotgun or go out on these raids and stop for snacks at rural gas stations. I was thinking the other day that the trump clown show should bring back Sarah Palin and give her some position at DHS. She could go out and stand next to Gnome and pretend she's Gnome's mother. I also remember Michelle Bachmann, who was another GOP loon. I saw her on a Car Shield tv ad the other day. I suppose Palin is out wrestling, insulting, killing, and eating any moose in sight. Rumor is that two people saw her riding one before cutting its head off.

trump and his cult have been losing a lot lately. They lost on this guy, they lost (twice, or actually three times) in the Letitia James indictment thing, IN state legislators last night rejected trump's demand to rig state electoral maps, a federal judge sided with federal employees regarding labor unions. I think there's a few more L's as well. He may have to change his "winning!" nonsense to something like "Hoping not to lose!"

They waited until the first warm weather day and hit a car wash in Evanston.
It ain’t over.

I witnessed this ice raid on Greenbay Rd. this morning. There were at least 6 large SUVs. They were hauling off gas station/car wash workers. A lot of people kept showing up to protest spontaneously. Me included. I had a whistle in my purse. It was scary and 100% disgusting. Mayor Biss was there. A few Evanston police cars came over, too.

The judge in Milwaukee has been found guilty of obstruction for helping an illegal immigrant avoid ICE. It is a felony. I was pleasantly surprised not one juror felt what she did was right.

I don't expect any jail time, but her career in the legal profession is over.

Wouldn't reversing a jury verdict be a challenge. I am not a lawyer, but it seems any appeal would have to depend on prosecutorial missteps.

I haven't read the case, so I don't know. But I disagree vehemently with the original arrest and the actions of ICE that prompted it.

I'm not a lawyer, either, but I'm gonna say that if the government comes into a courthouse trying to arrest someone who they say entered the country illegally, I would point out that existing US immigration law provides that anyone can come to the US and apply for asylum. I, too, have not read the case files, but if this immigrant was in court in relation to his asylum case, thus abiding by existing law by virtue of him being there in the first place, I would say the judge prevented an illegal act by the government. But as I noted, I've not read the case file and do not know why the guy was there but generally speaking if you've been charged with a crime and are in court because of it, you can't suddenly be whisked off to who knows where for who knows what reason. But I guess a fascist would see nothing wrong with any of it.

There is a lot of assuming that ICE did not have a warrant for this subject. If that is the case the action of ICE is appropriate.
