That reminds me of some old movie in which Chevy Chase snorts a massive line of cocaine right off the floor, raises up after snorting all of it, with white powder all around his nose and upper lip, and says "I like it." Forget the name of the movie but there was a large Black woman who might have been some sort of voodoo person in the same scene.

After a prediction of rain all day, our Christmas came up sunny and warm. Yesterday was a slightly-more-than-drizzle for most of the day but no water issue anywhere.

LA took it on the chops, though, including parts of the 5 freeway actually underwater and closed. The 5 is the primary route through the city and, although there are some alternative routes, once you're on it it's hard to bail off. Can't imagine the mess closing that made. And I really feel sorry for the people in Palisades and Altadena that lost their houses in the fires - now they're in a burn scar and they're in danger of their new or partly constructed houses being flooded.

You are so correct. Ice of .25 can be devastating. We are right on the borderline between ice and snow in Hendersonville.

I am grateful the models are so improved. They end up being quite accurate.
