Well, not connected to DOGE directly, maybe, but still indicative of governmental fumbling, possibly intentional.
I got an email saying I had a message in my SSA account. Didn't expect anything of value, but I'll go look. Click, go to account, click, enter user and password, click, click, go to ID.me, click, enter user and password, click, click, "we'll text you a code" click, wait. Wait, wait. No code. Resend, click. Wait. 20 minutes later, two codes arrive. Neither works because I've timed out on ID.me. Enter user and password, click, click. "we'll text you a code" click, wait. Roll mouse to keep ID.me page active. Wait. 15 minutes code arrives. Doesn't work because ID.me has closed itself.

Maybe lots of people are trying to access. Maybe there's internet problems. Maybe it's the moon phase. Whatever, I'll give it a try at an odd time, probably only to find some insignificant info that they could have easily put into the original email.
