There's nothing like a winter storm to cool down global warming.
So you're still not gong to cite a source or read previous cited sources, you're going to act like Cat Fan.......

We've got climate deniers in California too. They watch the news, then look outside and say "that's fake news bullshit about all that snow. I don't see nothing."

Wintry mix here so far. Too hard to sweep, too thin to shovel. I put down some sand and salt, will reassess later.
No freezing rain yet. Just sleet. I think it's likely to get worse around 2-6. Revised estimates have been trending lower than what was expected. We shall see.
Ditto, fingers crossed. The worst is staying north of Hooterville. It will start warming until MN: 37F. Rain should bust up accumulated ice. We don't get the single digit temps until the precip is all gone Mon night/Tues am.

So far not as bad as I anticipated. We still have several hours before precip stops.

Isn't the anticipated precipitation supposed to be mostly rain? I hope it helps some.

Same here. Apparently the southern part of the county was hit harder. Still not totally clear as the winds may still blow down some trees and limbs.

A few more flickers, but power stayed on. It never warmed up as much as predicted. Cold and windy today and very cold tonight. Heavy, frozen limbs MAY still break off. Fingers crossed.

Wasn't bad at all where I'm located. Never lost power. Ice accumulations minimal. No downed trees or limbs 🙌

I am surprised it is not worse. In my area about .5" of ice. That is usually devastating. I am thinking the hurricane in 9/24 took out a lot of potential debris for the ice storm.

Our cardiologist and pharmacy are still not open today.

There are videos of the aftermath in Nashville making rounds. They got hit with what was expected to hit us. The trees are absolutely devastated. We really lucked out.

If there's a silver lining to Helene, it's that the weaker trees and tree limbs have already been taken out.

It may mitigate the worst of it.
That's my hope.

I can't complain, did not lose power. Some family did and got it back at like 9pm right on the 5 degree night.

I've not lost power but it sure as hell is cold. Not been above freezing all day the past couple days. Supposed to get worse later in the week. I think the reason the power hasn't gone out is that one time a guy said to me "more power to ya'" but it was a long time ago. Surprised it still works.
