Epstein list release predictions and followup

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Opps. Pedos? Pedo tolerant?

SNL cold open points out that the Epstein files release is a distraction from Minneapolis, which is an ironic switchup.

My understanding is even with this latest release, something like only 1-5% of the files have been released. Wonder if the rest will ever see the light of day?

Think it is just under half.
:wtf: It may become 0%.

Epstein files: DOJ says it's taken down 'several thousand documents' that mistakenly identified victims
It comes after victims' lawyers asked that the website itself be taken offline.

Opps. You're doing a heckuva job, Blanche and Blondage.
... Three million pages from the DOJ's files on Epstein were being released to the public, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Friday. Blanche said in total there were 6 million pages of Epstein documents in the DOJ's files, but that nearly 3 million pages were being withheld for various reasons including the presence of child sexual abuse material and the obligation to protect victims' rights.
3 million pages withheld? :bs:

Guess we're still invading:
Cuba
Mexico
Colombia
Greenland
Somewhere else.

Some kid's diary is in the Epstein files. She mentions a trip to NYC. Only one perps name is blacked out. The others aren't. I wonder who it could be!?

In email to Peter Thiel, Epstein celebrates return to tribalism after Brexit

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/p ... 12853.html
Jeffrey Epstein celebrated Britain’s decision to leave the European Union in the wake of the 2016 referendum, hailing a “return to tribalism”, newly released documents suggest

The latest tranche of documents released by the US Department of Justice, part of the Epstein files, appears to show the convicted paedophile emailing tech billionaire Peter Thiel, describing Brexit as “just the beginning”.

On June 26 – just three days after Britain voted to leave the EU – Epstein appears to have written an email to Mr Thiel, saying: “Brexit, just the beginning.”

The venture capitalist appears to respond: “Of what,” to which Epstein says: “Return to tribalism, counter to globalisation, amazing new alliances.”

He added: “You and I both agreed zero interest rates were too high, and as I said in your office. finding things on their way to collapse, was much easier than finding the next bargain

There is so much batshit crazy stuff in these files, it's like a Qanon convention.

Sorting the wheat from chaff is going to be a Herculean effort.

Contrarian opinions aren't new to me, and in this case I wonder how much of Trump's craziness of the past year could have been avoided if everybody had just STFU about Epstein, Epstein, Epstein.

Not that Trump would have been a wise and rational leader, but I'm guessing much of the most outrageous attention-grabbing crap was just distraction attempts.

With all he is/has done and gotten by with, does anybody really think whatever he did with Epstein Epstein Epstein is gonna make any difference?

Smocking gun wouldn't matter. He's already survived the scandal and most people thing he did something or other. He's not going to lose any cultists, including those in Congress, just because of some party foul before his first term.

True Dat, his 35% wouldn't care if he shot someone on 5th Ave.

The congresscritters are getting skeered though, but their beds are made and they know it.

It's going to be a rough summer, he's going to turn up the heat to try and federalize national elections and invoke the Insurrection Act.

The skeered congresscritters aren't going to know what to do, so they'll do nothing.

What are referring to by federalize national elections? I do believe folks should prove citizenship to register to vote, but states should make those laws.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention.

That's not what DonOld is aiming for, he's said so irregardless of the Constitution.
Trump shared his idea on former Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino's podcast earlier this week, continuing his longstanding position that widespread fraud is a problem for U.S. elections. That claim was repeatedly found to be lacking evidence when he tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

"The Republicans should say, 'We want to take over,'" Trump said of nationalizing elections. "'We should take over the voting in at least maybe 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize voting.'"

It's been over a hundred years since non-citizens were allowed to vote in any federal election, and almost 30 since it was made a felony. A few municipalities do allow non-citizen voting in their cities, but none in state or federal elections.

Voter fraud at the polling place is virtually impossible to have any effect on outcome because each voting location for a precinct is counted separately. And citizenship is required in the registration process of every state, and has been forever. In California, you can register online, but you have to provide information that allows them to verify you, e.g., SSN, verifiable address, birth date, etc. That verification is done before they send out your voter card. Each ballot is personalized, so sure, somebody else could send in your ballot, but then you don't get to yourself, so again, fraud at that level has no viable process to be significant.

On the other hand, the term "ballot box stuffing" isn't fictional, and came from days when everybody used paper ballots and manual counts.

BTW, I never did hear any of the trumpers explain why, if the Dems were so smart as to "rig" the 2020 election, they were so stupid as to not make sure those fake ballots also "voted" for Dems for Senate and down-ballot candidates?
