I think we've become desensitized to how absolutely pathetic it is that this dude needs constant validation in the form of other people's awards and fake participation trophies and endless praise. Just imagine if this were some average person you knew. You'd without a doubt believe something was seriously wrong with them. Nah, not the president of the United States. Sustained outrage burns out eventually. We (the public) got too mad too often over things that weren't really all that important and now ignore, tolerate, and expect shit that would be unacceptable I. Most any other job in the country.
