Couldn't see a damn thing, didn't even get the sonic boom. TV only but it was still good to see it be so successful.

You ventured out?

Naa, nobody was going to see anything live mostly because of a bit of misty marine layer of clouds over the sea. It looked pretty clear on TV but for seeing far off coast, nagonnahappen. There were quite a few watch parties, though, with more emphasis on the party part. Buncha people standing on the beach watching the NASA feed on their phones. Air and Space Museum at Balboa Park had a watch even, and played the landing on their large (planetarium type) screens. It was still a cool localish feel to the event, though.

I think the sonic boom we had expected was probably over Hawaii when it first re-entered the atmosphere. Definitely wasn't here. Maybe Jasmine got it.
