I'm back in the US.

The only Trump fan I met was an older fellow from Liverpool that said he likes Trump because he has "balls", and said that their politicians don't and they keep letting in too many people.

One of the bars I went to in Krakow had a "Fuck Trump and Putin" sign outside. That bar was really cool. It was located in a cellar built around the 13th century.

Pretty much all of the Americans I met had a seething disgust at the events unfolding in the United States. I was listening to an older couple speaking with a British man. The British fellow they were talking to said he had heard "Kamala Harris wanted to make the taxpayers pay for sex changes" and the older dude promptly said "that's an exaggeration if not a lie, fuck these politicians". His wife explained how she never voted straight party in her life but will never vote Republican again. Straight D all the way for now on. Then explained if someone wants to get a sex change, who cares. They have the right to do what makes them happy. I was suprised.

On the train back from Auschwhitz some psychology professors from Utah were talking about how disturbed they are about things happening in the US right now.

Also saw an American flag flying from somsones apartment in Kutna Hora Czechia.

Always interesting to hear bits and pieces of opinions of others while traveling. I guess you wouldnt really expect a lot of modern day convervatives to be visiting Europe anyway, as they seem to be afraid of their own shadows and their media ecosystem seems to command them to hate Europe. Not saying they dont travel internationally , but I think those that do absolutely skew left on the political spectrum. At least from my travel experiences.

I wish every kid had the opportunity to go overseas for a month or so in their formative years. The world would be so much of a better place.

They were happy to be home because the food was strange and they do things differently there. I was surprised, thinking yeah, that's part of the point. Embrace it and enjoy the differences, it's fun and delicious .)

The quality of life in Europe is immensely better for the average person than it is in the US. If you're wealthy, then sure, the US offers you way better opportunities to live lavishy. But for the vast majority of people, Europe would be better. There's just so much more poverty here. I think the United States peaked sometime in the late 90s/early 2000s and we've been so high off of our own American exceptionalisn bullshit that we've let the rest of the developed world leave us in the dust.

That's why education is also important. Most people simply don't have the opportunity to travel overseas. The US is a large place and it's expensive to go elsewhere. However, that's where literature can help fill the gap. Unfortunately, most people arent curious about the world and other points of view. I'll never forget some dude I used to know warning me i better pack some heat when driving 600 miles north hecause "the world is dangerous". He had never been outside of a small section of the southeast.
