The journalist is Alexis McAdams. She was the person who incorrectly called a car accident near Niagara Falls a terrorist attack while reporting about it from New York City. I produced an entire podcast about it. No one is perfect but that was a huge mistake.

For once, Faux seems to be attempting to do the right thing, albeit to protect their own interest, and she tossed a spanner in the works. I think she's going to need some image rehab at least before anybody picks her up, but there may be some hard core Tru*p propaganda peddler that would see her action as "whistleblowing."

I'm not sure how federal hiring rules work, as if MAGA cares about such things. Might continuing pay from Faux Noise preclude work for the feds?

I don't know, either. But it's possible her contract has a clause that prohibits her from working for another network during her time under contract with Fox. Even so, the White House is not "another network" but like you noted, since when do laws or contracts or treaties mean anything in trump cult world? All I know for sure is that Maria can do whatever the hell she wants to do after those two years. She should create a public resume listing her "experience" and at the end she can put the slogan "Let's make some stuff up!"
